Colton Dixon just dropped his new EP, and we want Just Jared readers to get to know him even better!

You might already recognize the star as an American Idol finalist, getting all the way to the Top 10 on Season 11. He’s already had a big career, with his song “Build a Boat” becoming the longest-running No. 1 Mediabase Christian AC Song of 2022, spawning a feature from country star and fellow Idol alum Gabby Barrett.

Colton just released his 7-song EP, CANVAS, featuring his highly anticipated new single “My Light.”

Colton Dixon is a dad!

The 28-year-old American Idol star and his wife Annie welcomed twins, People confirmed on Saturday (August 22).

The happy couple welcomed identical twin daughters Ava Dior Dixon and Athens Elizabeth Dixon on Tuesday (August 18).

Ava was born weighing 7 lbs., 1 oz., while her sister Athens weighed 5 lbs., 6 oz.

“Everyone meet Athens Elizabeth and Ava Dior Dixon. We are over the moon to experience life with these twin girls. They truly are our two little miracles,” the couple said in a statement.

The Christian music artist placed seventh on the Idol Season 11. The two started dating in 2012, got engaged in 2015, and wed in January of 2016.

Pia Toscano belts out a song in an amazing moment at the American Idol series finale on Thursday (April 7) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 27-year-old singer, who was eliminated far too early on her season, closed a medley of performances with Celine Dion‘s “All By Myself” and wowed everyone.

The medley started with former judge Kara DioGuardi singing Pink‘s “Sober” and continued with Colton Dixon singing his song “Through All Of It,” and Jordin Sparks performing her song “No Air” with Justin Guarini.

Kimberley Locke then sang her song “Eighth World Wonder” and Tamyra Gray from season one sang Little Big Town‘s “Girl Crush.” Next up was Alison Iraheta with Meghan Trainor‘s “No” followed by Pia‘s performance.

Congratulations are in order for Colton Dixon – he just got married to Annie Coggeshall!

The 24-year-old singer, who came in 7th place on season twelve of American Idol, tied the knot on Friday evening (January 8) in Nashville, Tenn.

“I’m overwhelmed,” Colton told People after the wedding. “There’s so much joy!”

“She was glowing and it was unbelievable how beautiful she was,” Colton added. “I absolutely lost it. Audible tears. And I’m not a good-looking crier either!”

During the reception, Colton serenaded his new wife with the song “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and the bride wore a Vera Wang gown.

“Married my best friend last night. I love you @anniecog What a great night with family and friends!” Colton captioned the below photo on Instagram.

Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend Casper Smart grab a late lunch on Saturday afternoon (April 28) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 42-year-old American Idol judge took some pictures with the valet attendants and had Casper act as the cameraman!

That same day, Colton Dixon, a contestant on this season’s American Idol, attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C.
