Conan O’Brien is in good spirits as he waves to photographers while leaving a restaurant on Monday (June 28) in Los Feliz, Calif.

Based off of last year’s data in the same calendar week, preliminary data has shown that the 47-year-old former Tonight Show host had better ratings than Jay Leno‘s current ratings.

According to TV By The Numbers, Leno is finishing below Conan‘s ratings at 0.9 adults in the 18-49 ratings. Nevertheless, Leno‘s Tonight Show has been beating David Letterman‘s Late Night for the last couple of weeks.

Conan‘s new show will debut on TBS November 8.

Conan O’Brien will launch his new late-night talk show on Monday (November 8) on TBS.

The 47-year-old joked at the Turner upfront on Wednesday at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom , “[Can someone] explain what the hell happened four months ago? The plot to Lost is more plausible than the last year of my life.”

Conan added, “I really believe in basic cable. Basic cable is what makes this country great. I do not want to live in a country with less than six ESPNs.”

Conan O’Brien welcomed a special guest to the stage as he brought the “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour” to Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheater on Sunday (April 25) – fellow funnyman Jim Carrey!

The 46-year-old comedian and Jim (who dressed as Kick-Ass) teamed up for a costumed performance of Five for Fighting‘s “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” – watch their song below!

“Loved doin’ concert with Conan! So many faces wide open like kids!” Jim tweeted after the show. “The world was new and worry forgotten by all of us!”

Conan O’Brien rocks the house as he kicks off his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour” at the Hult Center in Eugene, Oregon on Monday (April 12).

The 46-year-old comedian was joined by sidekick Andy Richter, and 30 Rock‘s Jack McBrayer made a special guest appearance!

During the show, Conan poked fun at Kim Kardashian and Snooki for having TV shows when he doesn’t have one – ha ha!

It was announced yesterday that Conan will be returning to TV in November when he joins the TBS family! Fellow TBS comedian George Lopez is calling the late night comedy lineup “Lo-Co“!

Conan O’Brien will join the TBS network in the 11 p.m. time slot starting this November.

The 46-year-old former Tonight Show host tweeted, “The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.”

Conan also released a funny statement: “In three months, I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.”

Conan‘s move to the network will cause George Lopez‘s show, Lopez Tonight, to be bumped to a later slot (midnight).
