Leighton Meester (in Nina Ricci) gets the support from actor beau Sebastian Stan at the Gotham Magazine event sponsored by Jose Cuervo Platino at Marquee Nightclub on Saturday in New York City.

The 22-year-old Gossip Girl hottie, who is the mag’s September 2008 cover girl, was also accompanied by her costar Connor Paolo.

When asked if she had any favorite designers, Leighton said, “Absolutely. That’s not to say I don’t like basics—the jeans-and-T-shirt thing, like I was saying. But Zac Posen fits me right off the hanger, no alterations needed at all. I love Valentino, all the bags and formal dresses. It’s a little bit sexier, but still feminine. I recently wore Nina Ricci, which I really loved. So simple and so sophisticated, and still young. Stella McCartney—very fashionforward clothes. I like little Chloé dresses. I like Julie Haus a lot—cute stuff for the day or night. But I would never wear something just because of the name or the trend.”

Monday’s episode of Gossip Girl brought out two shocking secrets.

Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) outed Serena’s younger brother, Eric Van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo), at the dinner table. And Serena (Blake Lively) told best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) her dirty little secret. “I killed someone,” she said.

Paolo, 17, talked to People about playing the gay character on Gossip Girl. Here are some highlights:

How does it feel to be playing a gay character on a popular TV show? I’m an actor and it’s a part. Being gay is nothing but another way to live your life. It’s just who he is.

A lot of gay teens will be excited to see someone gay on the show. Are you ready for that? I guess it’s a possibility that fans could take Eric’s coming into his own as a source of inspiration. He does it with a degree of gentility and self-respect. He doesn’t make apologies for who he is.

Did the fact that he tried to kill himself earlier have anything to do with being gay? As the actor portraying Eric, I don’t believe that I tried to commit suicide because of that. Eric is 14 so his decision to be gay could be permanent. It might not be. It’s about finding yourself. At the moment, this is who he sees himself as … that’s very empowering.

On-screen (and maybe off-screen) lovers Blake Lively and Penn Badgley leave the set of Gossip Girl together after filming scenes inside the Palace Hotel in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Blake, 20, and younger costar Connor Paolo, 17, were seen walking to their trailers.

Blake toted around a Burberry Warrior Gladiator handbag and a newly purchased pair of shoes from Te Casan courtesy of Natalie Portman‘s vegan footwear line! She also carried around her maltepoo Penny!

Costars Blake Lively, Ed Westwick and Connor Paolo have a little Gossip Girl reunion during a private screening of Elvis & Anabelle on Thursday in New York City.

Gossip Girl goes back into production starting mid-March. The catty prep school drama returns with all-new episodes starting Monday, April 21.
