Kamala Harris has tested positive for COVID-19.
The 57-year-old Vice President of the United States’ office announced the news on Tuesday (April 26) in a statement.
“She has exhibited no symptoms, will isolate and continue to work from” her residence at the Naval Observatory,” a spokeswoman for VP Harris shared.
The statement continued, “”She will follow [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] guidelines and the advice of her physicians.”
The VP will plan to return to the White House once she was testing negative. She has previously had both of her COVID-19 vaccines and the booster shot.
VP Harris‘ diagnosis comes just a few weeks after her husband, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff tested positive for the virus.

Novak Djokovic is eligible to compete.
The 34-year-old tennis player, who has made headlines for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, will be eligible to compete at Wimbledon in June, tournament organizers revealed Tuesday (April 26) via People.
“The requirement set out by the government to enter the U.K. does not include mandatory vaccination. Therefore, while it is of course encouraged, it is not a condition of entry,” said Sally Bolton of All England Lawn Tennis Club.
The decision allows Novak to enter into the competition again, following his win over Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the men’s singles final last year, earning his 20th Grand Slam title.
Wimbledon is set for June 27, and will end on July 10.

All of the major airlines in the United States have announced that masks are no longer required to be worn during flights, effective immediately.
The mask mandate on public transportation will no longer be enforced after a federal judge in Florida, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, ruled that the White House’s 14-month-old directive was unlawful.
Reuters reports that the judge “said the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had exceeded its authority with the mandate, had not sought public comment and did not adequately explain its decisions.”
