Mean Girls actor Daniel Franzese and his partner Joseph Bradley Phillips have split and ended their engagement.

“Sometimes shooting stars shine so brightly that they burn out and now we must go separate ways but I hope my path always crosses with his,” the 40-year-old actor told People. “Joseph Bradley Phillips and I have decided to part ways, break our engagement promise and continue on into the future as friends.”

Daniel continued, “We cared so much for each other that we ignored things that were important to our individual personal growth. We have taken some time to heal before letting everyone know and I’m grateful to all my friends and family who have shown us support during this difficult time. I’m excited to see what Joseph will offer the world and I can’t wait to get back on tour and make people laugh.”

Daniel and Joseph announced their engagement almost two years ago.

Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy and star stylist Brad Goreski walk the red carpet at the taping of the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 Finale on Friday (June 8) at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

The guys sat together at the event and snapped a cute photo inside.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better seat mate at the @rupaulsdragrace finale than @guskenworthy 💕 what at night! #superfans,” Brad captioned the below photo on Instagram.

Some of the other celebs in attendance included Celebrity Big Brother‘s Ross Mathews, UnREAL‘s Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, and Mean Girls‘ Daniel Franzese.

FYI: Brad is wearing a Topman suit, an Acne Studios shirt, and Balenciaga shoes.

Daniel Franzese – aka Damian in Mean Girls – signed “I totally went here!” on one of the bathroom stall props while visiting the cast of the new Broadway musical of the same name!

The 39-year-old actor was joined by Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo as they stopped by the August Wilson Theatre on Tuesday (April 10) in New York City.

Daniel brought along his fiance Joseph Bradley Phillips.

They snapped a pic with cast members Erika Henningsen (Cady), Taylor Louderman (Regina), Barrett Wilbert Reed (Janice), Kate Rockwell (Karen), Ashley Park (Gretchen), Kerry Butler (Ms. Norbury), Grey Henson (Damian), Kyle Selig, Cheech Manohar, and more.

Actress Bijou Phillips has responded to actor Daniel Franzese‘s allegations of harassment and bullying.

The 37-year-old actress issued the following statement to TMZ: “I want to write to address what Daniel has said. I don’t remember that time well, those years are a blur. I was a teenager and reckless in my behavior. I know Daniel to be a trustworthy and honest person, and to find out through social media that I was not the friend I thought I was to him made me so sad. I am so mortified by this behavior and have contacted Daniel and apologized to him privately. I am not and never have been homophobic. I have nothing but love for the LGBTQ community and Daniel.”

Daniel wrote a lengthy Facebook post over the weekend over the harassment he alleged.

“It started with a lot of eye‪ ‬rolling whenever we spoke but‪ ‬escalated when we did a cast shoot for the poster‪.‬ ‪A‬s we were shooting she kept loudly saying ‘Are you gay?!’ and laughing‪ while ‬the producers‪ ‬and photographer did nothing‪ ‬to stop her but some of my cast like Micheal Pitt and Brad Renfro kept telling her to shut up‪ ‬but she continued to say ‘Are You Gay?!’ Like 10 times making sure to be loud enough for everyone to hear I reluctantly told her i was bi. Which at the time was how I was choosing to‪ ‬identify as ‘Q’ wasn’t known to be an option yet and to be honest I don’t know that I had many gay experiences at the time my life. I was an extremely late bloomer. She cackled and‪ said ‘HA! He’s bi!’ And then when I showed up to work the next day in front of the crew she was screaming “Oh look! The Bi guy is here!” Daniel wrote.

Mean Girls stars Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Daniel Franzese and Jonathan Bennett reunited for “Mean Girls Day” today (October 3) to help out those who have been affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas.

“This year, though, we’re doing things a little differently. We want to turn the attention to those who need it. After Sunday’s tragic events in Las Vegas, let’s give back. In honor of Mean Girls Day, we’re asking each of you, the groolest fans out there, to help,” they collectively say in the minute-long video. They’re asking for everyone to donate just three dollars with a goal of $300,000.
