Man Who Claims to Have Found Shrimp Tails in His Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Is Danielle Fishel's Husband

The curious saga of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal box that allegedly contained shrimp tails has a celebrity twist.

Earlier in the week, Jensen Karp claimed that he discovered shrimp tails on Monday morning (March 22) in his box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and the photos went viral.

Now, as the public is largely realizing following a New York Times report, the 41-year-old comedian and writer is none other than the husband of Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga Lawrence-Matthews!

According to the report, he sent an email to General Mills following the disturbing alleged find.

“Privately, they were still being very nice,” he said, until the brand issued a statement on Twitter.

“After further investigation with our team that closely examined the image, it appears to be an accumulation of the cinnamon sugar that sometimes can occur when ingredients aren’t thoroughly blended. We assure you that there’s no possibility of cross contamination with shrimp,” the brand said.

After looking again, he noticed “shrimp skins-looking things,” “a small string” and something that looked like a pistachio, as well as a “small black piece” on some of the squares and at bottom of the bag that he feared could be rat droppings.

“That’s what I’m trying to get tested right now, because that’s the only thing that really matters to me as far as if I can get sick,” he said, confirming he took the box to the California Poison Control System.

So far he’s had “zero” symptoms.

He had bought a “two pack” of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and said he noticed what appeared to be clear tape along the bottom, leading him to believe the boxes might have been tampered with.

“While we are still investigating this matter, we can say with confidence that this did not occur at our facility. We are waiting for the consumer to send us the package to investigate further. Any consumers who notice their cereal box or bag has been tampered with, such as the clear tape that was found in this case, should contact us,” Mike Siemienas of General Mills said in a statement.

“I’m not considering legal action. Obviously, if I ate rat poop, we’re gonna have to readdress that,” Jensen said.

“All you have to do is say, ‘This is such a bummer, we’re going to look into it. We’re going to recall the ones from your Costco.’ Like, it’s such an easy PR thing to do. But instead, they wanted to basically gaslight me,” he said of the company’s response.

“I’m a comedy writer, but like, there’s no joke here…to take down my favorite cereal brand? I don’t even know why that’s a funny joke. I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. It’s the only cereal I eat. I own the Kyrie Irving Cinnamon Toast Crunch Nikes.”

“I just want you to fix it, you know, for other people…I’m not even like trying to say like, ‘Be better,’ or whatever. I’m literally just saying, ‘Go investigate it.’”

Trina McGee Opens Up About What Her Relationship With Danielle Fishel Is Like Now

Trina McGee is speaking out about what her relationship with Danielle Fishel is like now.

Over the weekend, Danielle explained after tweeting about the Black Lives Matter movement that she had apologized to Trina for her past behavior towards her on the Boy Meets World set, and its revival, Girl Meets World.

“I owed @realtrinamcgee an apology for being rude, cold, & distant when she guest starred on GMW (her tweet regarding warm hellos being met with cold blank stares was about me). Trina and I spoke over a month ago and she gracefully accepted my apology. ❤️,” Danielle wrote.

Trina told Yahoo that her “relationship with her right now is decent. We’re very complimentary of each other.”

She adds that Danielle “goes out of her way to say, ‘Hey, are you OK?’ She actually just sent me a cute picture of her baby, so I’m not trying to hang around and have a grudge against the girl or anything, I’m just slowly trying to take steps to trusting.”

Trina opened up about the racism she faced from members of the Boy Meets World cast in January, which included being called Aunt Jemima from a mystery cast mate.

It was revealed that it was Will Friedle who called her that and he has since apologized to Trina and they are now on speaking terms.

Danielle Fishel Admits to Being 'Rude, Cold, & Distant' to 'Boy Meets World' Co-Star Trina McGee

Danielle Fishel is admitting she is wrong.

The 39-year-old actress – who played Topanga Lawrence – has taken to Twitter to reveal that she has apologized to former Boy Meets World co-star Trina McGee for being “rude, cold, & distant” to her.

Earlier this year, the 50-year-old actress, who played Angela Moore on the ABC show, opened up about the hostile environment she experienced on set, while revealing that one co-star made racist comments towards her, calling her “Aunt Jemima.” Will Friedle – who played Eric Matthews – admitted that he was the one that made the racist comment and apologized to Trina.

Back in June, Danielle tweeted about the Black Lives Matter movement, and a fan questioned her, asking if she had apologized to Trina following her claims of being mistreated.

Danielle then responded, saying that she was “rude” to Trina when she gguest starred on the spinoff series Girl Meets World back in 2015.

During a new interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Trina talked about receiving the apology for Danielle, who told Trina that she was “distant” towards her because she was “going through a lot at the time, on a personal level.”
