Check out this sneak peek of Natalie Portman as a prima ballerina in Black Swan, a ballet-themed thriller with psychological twists due in late fall.

The 29-year-old actress plays Nina, a ballerina chosen as the lead in a NYC production of Swan Lake. Her rival Lily (Mila Kunis) is a sultry dancer who exhibits all the innate ease and sexuality that Nina lacks. To say the least, the two forge an unusual relationship.

Nat shared with USA Today, “The character was very interesting to play, always challenging and surprising. The fact that I had spent so much time with the idea — [director Darren Aronofsky] and I started discussing doing the film in 2000 — allowed it to marinate a little before we shot.”

She added, “I took ballet until I was 13. I had always hoped to do a dance film. It is the most emotional form of expression.”

There is a lot of buzz about Nat and Mila sharing an intimate girl-on-girl scene. Mila explained, “Anything sexual in this film is not there for the sake of being sexual. I think people are hoping it’s like two girls making out and pillow fighting. It’s not smut.”

Brad Pitt will star in and produce the adventure thriller, The Tiger, with Darren Aronofsky directing.

Variety reports the story “takes place on the Siberian plain, where human development is encroaching on the tigers’ habitat — and one tiger turns on the intruders. With townspeople being tracked and hunted with an almost supernatural power, a conservationist game warden must face down the tiger. It is a fight that only one of them can win.”

The Tiger, which will be produced by Brad‘s production company Plan B and Darren‘s Protozoa Pictures, is based on a nonfiction book by John Vaillant called “The Tiger: A True Story of Vengeance and Survival,” out August.

Rachel Weisz gets in some quality bonding time with her absolutely adorable son Henry, who turns 4 next month, in Toronto, Canada on Saturday (April 24).

The 40-year-old British actress is in town with Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts to shoot their new movie, Dream House.

The 39-year-old actress shared stroller duties with Darren, 40, while Henry, 3, munched on a pastry on the ride home.

Three new cast members have signed on to Rachel‘s forthcoming film The Whistleblower, where she’ll play a policewoman in the true story of a sex crimes scandal in postwar Bosnia.

Rachel will be joined on screen by Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn and Monica Bellucci, according to Variety.

The 39-year-old British actress was accompanied by her husband, director Darren Aronofsky.

Rachel gives a mesmerizing performance as Blanche DuBois in the Streetcar Named Desire. The Hollywood Reporter says, “Weisz is exactly the right age for Blanche, and though she can do nothing to make her radiant features appear faded, she conveys acutely the woman’s sense of loss and desperate need for emotional nourishment.”

The Daily Telegraph adds, “Weisz rises to the challenge magnificently. Her undoubted beauty is combined here with a fluttering, birdlike nervousness and sudden moments of desperate panic that wrench the heart.”

Rachel will be performing at London’s Donmar Warehouse, through Oct. 3.

“Producers are looking at Rachel to play Catwoman, one of Batman’s arch enemies, in Batman 3,” a source told The Mirror.

Rachel Weisz really knows how to work out black-and-white stripes in another Narciso Rodriguez creation at the 18th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards at Museum of Finance on Tuesday (December 2) in New York City.

The 37-year-old British actress came out to support her husband, Darren Aronofsky (pictured below), who directed the The Wrestler. His film was up for Best Feature against competing films Ballast, Frozen River, Sydechodche, New York and The Visitor.
