Dave Franco has a very familiar face starring in his directorial debut…his wife Alison Brie!

The Rental is a horror thriller that will also star Dan Stevens, Sheila Vand and Jeremy Allen White.

Dave said he “couldn’t be more excited about partnering with Black Bear and to be working with such an amazing group of actors for my directorial debut,” via Deadline.

The movie is about “two couples who rent a vacation home for what should be a celebratory weekend get-away.”

Dave Franco and Alison Brie are enjoying a night on the town.

The 33-year-old Now You See Me star and the 36-year-old Glow actress were spotted on a date night on Saturday night (February 16) at the ArcLight Theater in Hollywood.

The two looked happy, holding hands on their way back to their car.

Dave stars in the forthcoming Zeroville, which was directed by brother James Franco, about a young actor who arrives in Hollywood in 1969 during a transitional time in the industry. The movie is due out in September.

Alison Brie wows on the silver carpet as she and husband Dave Franco arrive at the 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (January 27) in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old actress stunned in a black dress with a black, diamond-covered bow on her shoulders while the 33-year-old actor looked handsome in a navy tux.

Alison is nominated tonight for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in GLOW!

The SAG Awards will be hosted by Megan Mullally and the show airs at 8pm EST / 5pm PST on both TNT and TBS. Make sure to tune in!

Dave Franco stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (January 22) and talked all about challenging himself with his role in If Beale Street Could Talk.

“I think people are pretty shocked to see me in this film. The general consensus is, ‘wtf is the guy from Neighbors is doing in this beautifully poetic Barry Jenkins movie,’ and I get that,” the 33-year-old actor expressed.

“I want to keep challenging myself and try new things, and it takes someone like Barry Jenkins who believed in me and gave me this opportunity,” Dave continued. “I feel grateful to him. I was just as surprised as everyone that I was invited to be part of this.

“You dream about being in projects like this so when it becomes reality you almost don’t feel worthy or something, I don’t know,” Dave concluded – Watch below!

The 33-year-old If Beale Street Could Talk actor appeared on TODAY on Friday morning (January 18).

During his appearance, Dave talked about taking a turn away from his usual comedy roles for his part in If Beale Street Could Talk.

Later on, he talked about how he prevented wife Alison Brie from a wardrobe malfunction at the Golden Globes.

“She got her dress caught in the bush, and I went and took it out of the bush, and then it became a big thing!” he remarked.
