Jennifer Hudson makes an appearance on The View with her adorable 1-year-old son David Otunga Jr. on Tuesday (March 22) in NYC.

The night before, the 29-year-old singer and actress celebrated the release of her new album, I Remember Me, at Tenjune.

“Ms. Iron Pipes finally sounds like she’s having some fun. Where 2008′s Jennifer Hudson was bogged down with serious, self-assuring ballads, here she aims for a lighter vibe, flexing her newfound confidence on ‘I Got This,’” EW says about the new album.

“All you have to do is hear her appealingly brassy take on the oft-Idol-abused warhorse ‘Feeling Good’ to know Hudson has somehow found a route to happiness,” adds the mag.

The 29-year-old singer is giving fans a chance to hear I Remember Me, the follow-up to her 2008 self-titled debut, in its entirety before it’s released Tuesday, March 22. The full CD listening party is currently available on AOL.

Jennifer Hudson takes her son David Otunga Jr. along with her as she goes shopping with her friends on Monday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

At the 2011 Oscars, the 29-year-old singer was asked about her tangerine Atelier Versace dress. “As soon as I walked in, I said, ‘That’s my dress,’” she said.

At the Oscar rehearsals, Jennifer‘s son David, became friends with Sandra Bullock. “She was like, ‘Oh my God he’s kissing me!’ He loves to give kisses — he’s super affectionate,” she told Extra.

Jennifer Hudson leaves ABC Studios with her son David Otunga, Jr. after making an appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly on Wednesday (September 15) in New York.

Later in the day, the 29-year-old Weight Watchers spokesperson helped launch the company’s Lose for Good campaign, which teaches families how to prepare healthy low-cost meals in an effort to help fight hunger and obesity.

Between September 5 and October 23, Weight Watchers members who lose weight and participate in other activities will help the brand raise $1 million for two leading hunger-fighting organizations: Share Our Strength and Action Against Hunger.

Jennifer Hudson runs errands with her adorable son David Otunga Jr., 20 months, in Los Angeles on Friday (April 23).

The 28-year-old Oscar winner is set to sing a duet with British beauty Leona Lewis for the soundtrack for the Sex and the City sequel. The song is called “Love Is Your Color.” (Jennifer was on the original soundtrack and also starred in the movie).

It’s a son for Jennifer Hudson!

The 27-year-old Oscar winner her and fiance, reality TV star David Otunga, welcomed son David Daniel Otunga, Jr. on Monday (August 10). THR reports the baby weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz., and was named after his father and her fiancee.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Of note: Jennifer never announced her pregnancy, mostly because of the brutal murders of her mother, brother and nephew.

A baby shower was thrown for Jennifer Hudson on Saturday (May 30) at a relative’s home in downtown Chicago, reports Chicago Tribune.

Jennifer‘s singer/actress pal Felicia Fields, reveals, “It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had. They don’t know [the gender]. More yellow.”

Also in town was her fiance, former reality TV star David Otunga, who’s currently pursuing a pro wrestling career.
