Daya, the singer best known for her hit song “Sit Still, Sit Pretty,” is introducing her fans to her girlfriend of three years!

The 22-year-old singer recently dropped her new single “Bad Girl” and she revealed that the song is about her girlfriend Clyde Munroe.

“For those wondering who I wrote this song about, this is Clyde,” Daya wrote in an Instagram post over the weekend. “We’ve been dating for 3 years now. She’s my best friend and my whole world. I’m so lucky.”

Daya also opened up about the song in an interview with People.

“All my songs take from real-life experiences but I add a bit of fantasy to them,” she said. “I think it truly shows that arc of my sexuality and me as a person and everything. It’s about finding myself for the past five years, it feels like this full circle in a weird way.”

Daya is also known for her songs “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Hide Away.” You can listen to “Bad Girl” below!

Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, Madison Beer, and Daya join a star-studded lineup for the upcoming, first annual LOVR Benefit Concert.

The singers will all take the stage at the event held at the Hollywood Palladium on March 21 in Los Angeles.

The event, presented by The Noah Benardout Foundation, is being held to advocate for an end to DUI (Driving Under the Influence).

Also performing are Sofia Carson, Bråves, Nicholas Petricca of Walk the Moon, Romeo of Farr, Saint Bodhi, Dreamers, Lemmo, El Javi, and many others.

Presenters and celebrity advocates include actor Andy Garcia, actor & DUI survivor Obi Ndefo, comedian Fahim Anwar, actor Oliver Trevena, MMA fighter Marcus Kowal of Liam’s Law, KCRW’s Jason Kramer, and media personality Ross King, who will be joined by several others.

The LOVR Benefit also marks the first time that all three of California’s major law enforcement departments are joining forces to demonstrate how they are combatting the DUI epidemic within the Los Angeles community.

A musician known as “LOVR,” Noah Benardout was tragically killed on August 1, 2019 by a drunk driver while waiting to cross a West Hollywood street. On the day he died, Noah was offered a record deal, and was about to release his new EP. To honor his memory, the Benardout family established the Noah Benardout Foundation, which advocates the end of DUI fatalities through music and education.

Daya just released a new song!

The 20-year-old just released her new song “Keeping It In the Dark” – which will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming third season of 13 Reasons Why.

Kesha shows off her brunette hair while performing live at the LOVELOUD Festival Powered by AT&T on Saturday (June 29) at the USANA Amphitheater in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The event is organized by Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and this is the third annual festival. He was of course on hand for a performance!

LOVELOUD seeks to ignite the relevant and vital conversation about what it means to unconditionally love, understand, accept, and support LGBTQ+ youth in our communities, and proceeds from the event will benefit a number of national and local LGBTQ+ charity organizations.

Other performers included Tegan & Sara and Daya. Activist Emma Gonzalez spoke to the crowd.

Ciara, Billy Porter and Laverne Cox strike a pose on the rainbow carpet while attending the WorldPride NYC 2019 Opening Ceremony held at Barclays Center on Wednesday (June 26) in New York City.

The three stars were joined at the event by Todrick Hall, The View‘s Whoopi Goldberg, Pose star Angelica Ross, Madam Secretary‘s Sara Ramirez, Chaka Khan, Daya and Cyndi Lauper.

It’s the first time World Pride has been held in the U.S. and New York City was chosen for a very special reason – this year is 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn uprising – the event that became the foundation of the gay rights movement.

Daya has debuted her brand new song, “Left Me Yet”.

“This song feels so special to me. wrote it on a day i wasn’t even planning on coming to studio, then kennedi facetimed me and i hurried over and jason already had this beat and we had this idea right away and we wrote it so quick,” the 20-year-old musician shared on her Instagram.

Daya added that it “just flowed naturally. hope u guys feel this and love it as much as i do.”

“Left Me Yet” is the second single from her upcoming sophomore album.
