For over a year and a half now, there have been rumors that the 34-year-old “Cruel Summer” singer will be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
While promoting the new movie 2024 CinemaCon on Thursday (April 11), Shawn – who is directing the new movie – was asked about the Taylor rumors.

Disney shared an exclusive look at nine minutes of Deadpool & Wolverine during their CinemaCon panel on Thursday (April 11), and they teased some very exciting details!
The movie, out July 26, officially introduces Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It also brings Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine back into the fold.
According to reviews of the footage shown during the convention, Deadpool & Wolverine will be as irreverent and delightfully crass as the first two movies in the saga with references to strippers and drugs.
The footage also revealed two big callbacks to classic MCU stars. In fact, two of the founding members of the Avengers appear to make cameos in the new movie!

Disney is laying out a release schedule for the next few years, and it includes long-awaited sequels to classic animated projects such as Toy Story and Frozen as well as updates on Marvel and Star Wars!
On Friday (April 5), Disney updated its schedule solidifying release dates for some key projects, including The Mandalorian and Grogu, Toy Story 5 and a live-action version of Moana.

The trailer for the movie, which reintroduces Hugh Jackman‘s Wolverine and brings both iconic characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, premiered during the 2024 Super Bowl on Sunday night (February 11).
It sets the scene for Deadpool’s introduction to the larger MCU and offers a very brief glimpse at Wolverine in his iconic costume.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are marking the end of filming on the upcoming Deadpool 3!
The actors are both reprising their fan-favorite roles of Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively.
Deadpool 3 started filming last summer, but stopped production back in July due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. They picked back up earlier this month, and now, it looks they have completed filming!

During night two of the Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday night (Jan. 7), the 47-year-old actor and Rob McElhenney‘s reality show Welcome to Wrexham won five awards.
While Ryan wasn’t at the ceremony, he made a virtual appearance as Deadpool to accept an award and in his speech, he gave a special shout-out to wife Blake Lively.
