Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds Will Be Buried at Forrest Lawn Cemetary

Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds‘ family have decided on their final resting place.

According to TMZ, the mother and daughter will be buried side-by-side at Forrest Lawn cemetery during a joint ceremony in Burbank, Calif.

The family had plots at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and even visited the site earlier this week but reportedly decided on Forrest Lawn because Debbie loved Liberace and the family felt she’d want to be near him.

Debbie and Carrie‘s funeral will be very small and for family and very close friends.

There is a memorial for the public in the works but a date has not been set as Carrie‘s daughter Billie Lourd is going through an understandably difficult time.

Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds' Documentary Will Air on HBO Next Week

Bright Lights, a documentary about the relationship between Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, will air on HBO next week.

The air date for the documentary was moved up from a scheduled launch in March following the deaths of the mother and daughter this week.

Brights Lights, directed by actor and filmmaker Fisher Stevens, will air on January 7. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in May and Carrie was on hand to promote the film.

“It’s life with Carrie and Debbie. It’s about both of them trying to stand upright, both having their frailties – age on the one hand and mental illness on the other. It’s a love story about a mother and daughter – they happen to be Carrie and Debbie,” HBO Documentary Films president Sheila Nevins told Variety.

Debbie Reynolds' 'Greatest Fear' Was Outliving Daughter Carrie Fisher

The bond between Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher was truly something amazing.

The legendary mother-daughter duo both sadly passed away within one day of each other this week.

In her 2013 autobiography Unsinkable, Debbie revealed that her “greatest fear” was outliving her daughter.

“It’s not natural to outlive your child,” Debbie wrote. “This has always been my greatest fear.”

“Too many mothers have lost their children, for thousands of different reasons,” she added. “I don’t know if I could survive that.”

The family’s loved ones, like Bruce Bozzi – the stepfather of Carrie‘s daughter Billie Lourd – as well as Debbie‘s son Todd have all been sharing their touching and heartwarming tributes during this sad time.

“It’s a love story,” HBO Documentary Films president, Sheila Nevins, told Variety. “Carrie wanted to make Bright Lights for Debbie and Debbie wanted to make it for Carrie.”

She continued, “If this was a Hollywood script, no one would believe it. They just loved each other so much. The bond was just unbreakable.”

Most of the footage was shot a year ago, and a premiere date has not been announced yet.

Our thoughts remain with their entire family right now.

VIDEO: Billie Lourd's Recent Impression Of Late Grandmother Debbie Reynolds Will Melt Your Heart

Billie Lourd recently opened up about her late grandmother, legendary actress Debbie Reynolds.

The 24-year-old actress even told a story about her (and did a spot-on impression) while promoting Scream Queens earlier this month on Late Night With Seth Meyers, a couple weeks before her death.

“First of all, she gets really upset when I get called Carrie Fisher‘s daughter,” Billie said. “She wants people to call me Debbie Reynolds‘ granddaughter. It’s very offensive to her.”

Debbie actually sat Billie down at one point and showed her diaries from when she was just starting out.

“You’re sitting in the makeup chair. It’s five in the morning,” Billie said (in Debbie‘s voice). “They’ve pulled out all your eyebrows. You have no eyelashes left. Your hair is a shell of itself. And all you wanted to be was a gym teacher.”

Still, that didn’t convince Billie to give up her dream of show business.

Sadly, she lost Debbie and her mom Carrie in the same week. Our thoughts are with her and her entire family right now.
