Debra Messing Accuses Director Alfonso Arau of Demeaning Her During Nude Scene

Debra Messing is opening up about an awful experience she had on the set of the 1995 movie A Walk in the Clouds, where she was allegedly ordered to do a nude scene by director Alfonso Arau.

The actress says that she was humiliated on set by Arau for her looks and was told that “her nose is ruining” the movie.

When she was told to undress for a nude scene, which she says she was not told about when she signed on for the film, she approached Arau about being uncomfortable with the scene. “Are you kidding me?” he allegedly said in response. “Your job is to get naked and say the lines, that’s it. You should be grateful to have this part. Get out!”

Debra said her agents told her she could do the nude scene and keep the job or say no and get fired, so she decided to do it. While filming, she says Arau wanted to “set the sheet” on top of her while she laid on the bed.

Zosia Mamet will miss a lot of things about working on her hit HBO show Girls, but her character Shoshanna’s wardrobe is definitely not one of them!

“Literally in six seasons there wasn’t one time that I wanted anything or would have worn anything [in real life] that [Shoshanna] wore on the show,” the 29-year-old actress recently told WWD. “Her style is like if trendy took acid.”

Will & Grace is coming back to television!

The fab foursome from the original series – Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally – will all return for the 10 episodes on NBC.

“We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

“We started talking with Mutchnick and Kohan about producing new episodes right after they shot the secret reunion show back in September, and the fact that all four of the original stars were excited about getting back into production is a testament to the joyful experience they had doing nearly 200 episodes for eight seasons,” NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke added. “Few things cut through the clutter these days, especially in comedy, and ‘Will and Grace’ is one of the best.”

The original series aired from 1998 to 2006. The new series will land on NBC for the 2017/18 season. More Here! »
