Demi Lovato Gives Update on New Music, Explains Why She Speaks Up on Political Issues

Demi Lovato is speaking out in response to fans who are asking about new music while injustices are occurring in America.

The 28-year-old singer took to Instagram to speak out about what happened at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.

“My heart is broken. It makes me too sad to believe how naive I was to think this couldn’t possibly happen, and yet it did. Here we are,” Demi wrote in the post.

She continued, “For everyone in my comments saying ‘where’s d7′ or wanting me to sing instead of speaking up about what needs to change in this country, THIS IS WHY I POST AS MUCH AS I DO. THIS IS WHY I CARE. THIS CANNOT HAPPEN ANY F–KING MORE. I’m angry, embarrassed and ashamed.”

“I’m in the studio working on something special after today’s assault on democracy,” the singer added.

Demi has previously released the politically-charged song “Commander In Chief,” back in October 2020.

Fans have been impatiently waiting for a new album from Demi for the past few years, but last September, she said that she has changed gears on what kind of music she’s going to be making.

““I need to share music that speaks for more people than myself. Because I’ve been sharing my story for a long time, but it’s time to switch gears and tell other stories that need to be heard,” she said in an interview. Find out more here!

Demi Lovato Proudly Shows Her Curves, Talks About Recovering from Eating Disorder

Demi Lovato is proudly showing off her curves while talking about her recovery from an eating disorder.

The 28-year-old singer shared the empowering message on her Instagram account on Christmas Eve.

“I used to genuinely believe recovery from an eating disorder wasn’t real. That everyone was faking or secretly relapsing behind closed doors. ‘Surely she throws up here and there,’ ‘she can’t POSSIBLY accept her cellulite’… those we’re just a few of the things that I used to tell myself growing up,” Demi said.

She continued, “I’m so grateful that I can honestly say for the first time in my life – my dietitian looked at me and said ‘This is what eating disorder recovery looks like.’ In honor of my gratitude for the place I’m in today, this was a lil shoot I did by myself in quarantine this summer when I wanted to celebrate my stretch marks instead of being ashamed of them.”

“I started wearing actual glitter paint on my stretch marks to celebrate my body and all of it’s features (whether society views them as good OR bad) My stretch marks aren’t going away so might as well throw a lil glitter on em’ amiright? 😝✨ Also let this be a reminder to anyone who doesn’t think it’s possible: IT ACTUALLY IS 😱😱😩😩☺️☺️ YOU CAN DO IT. I BELIEVE IN YOU. This year was tough.. be gentle on yourself if you slip up and remember to get right back on track because you’re WORTH THE MIRACLE OF RECOVERY 💖I LOVE YOU ✨,” Demi said.

Demi shared a series of photos and she noted, “last pics without sparkle edits – Instagram vs reality type shit you kno? 😝”

Demi Lovato Remembers Naya Rivera In A Sweet & Sentimental Way

Demi Lovato is remembering Naya Rivera in a sentimental Instagram post.

The 28-year-old singer starred with Naya in Fox’s Glee, as Dani, who was Santana’s love interest in the fifth season.

Demi snapped an image of the sunset during a hike over the weekend and wrote “Miss You @nayarivera” on the picture.

The music playing the clip was The Beatles‘ “Here Comes The Sun,” which is a reference to one of the most popular scenes between their two characters on the show.

Following Naya‘s tragic passing earlier this summer after a drowning accident, Demi shared a tribute to her one-time on screen girlfriend.

“RIP Naya Rivera. I’ll forever cherish the opportunity to play your girlfriend on Glee,” Demi wrote. “The character you played was groundbreaking for tons of closeted queer girls (like me at the time) and open queer girls, and your ambition and accomplishments were inspiring to Latina women all over the world.”

If you haven’t seen it, see what Naya‘s Glee co-stars are doing in honor of her for the holiday season.

Demi Lovato's Ex Max Ehrich Accuses Her of Using Their Split for Clout

Max Ehrich is making some claims about his relationship with Demi Lovato.

The 29-year-old The Young & The Restless actor accused her of using their split for clout in her Instagram comments on Thursday (November 19).

Max commented on one of Demi‘s recent posts showing off her new hair, as well as her 2020 People’s Choice Awards opening monologue, where she joked about the short engagement.

“I went into lockdown mode, and got engaged. I got into painting, photography, meditation, tested the limits of post mates unlimited. Also, I didn’t know this could happen, but reached the end of Instagram four times. I binged seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got unengaged, then went looking for aliens in the desert,” she said during the monologue.

“Stop talking about me on award shows. Thanks,” Max wrote, “exploiting our breakup for clout at PCA is not chill.”

Back in October, Max went on Instagram and went on about his ex and their breakup, and accused her of using their breakup to boost sales for her new song, “Still Have Me.”

He also claimed he found out about their breakup from the tabloids.
