Bruce Jenner Will Discuss Transition in Diane Sawyer Interview

Bruce Jenner is reportedly going to sit down for an interview with Diane Sawyer to discuss transitioning to a woman.

The 65-year-old former Olympian’s decision to go with an ABC News interview is reportedly causing some trouble at NBCUniversal, according to the New York Post. This is because the reality star is currently working on a docu-series for the E! network, which is part of NBCUniversal.

Bruce is in final negotiations right now for the interview and portions of it will film this week if all goes to plan.

Over the weekend, a new report claimed that not all of Bruce‘s children knew of the transition plans until recently.

Diane Sawyer Steps Down As Anchor of ABC's 'World News'

Diane Sawyer will be stepping down as an evening anchor from ABC World News and 20/20 anchor David Muir will takeover on September 2.

“At the end of last year Diane Sawyer started a conversation with [former ABC News president Ben Sherwood] about one day stepping away from World News and devoting her boundless energy full time to a team which will create and commission original reporting, big ideas and interviews for all platforms,” ABC News president James Goldston wrote in an e-mail (via the Washington Post). “As much as she loved leading World News to new heights…Diane decided that now is the moment to concentrate full time on tackling big issues in new ways.”

Diane, 68, has been with ABC News for nearly 25 years.

Diane Sawyer has left ABC’s Good Morning America but will stay with the same network, replacing Charles Gibson as the anchor on World News.

“It has not been an easy decision to make,” Gibson said in an e-mail to his staff. “This has been my professional home for almost 35 years. And I love this news department, and all who work in it, to the depths of my soul.”

“There is no one like Charlie Gibson and it is an enormous honor to be asked to join the terrific broadcast he and the great team of journalists have built at World News,” Sawyer said today. “Until then, I’ll be getting up early and spending mornings, as always, counting myself so lucky to be with Robin [Roberts], Chris [Cuomo] and Sam [Champion] and the incredibly smart, talented and dedicated team of Good Morning America.”

Nicole Richie: I'm a Changed Person

Mom-to-be Nicole Richie insists she’s a changed person, telling her side of the story to Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America.

On being a role model for her baby: “I would really want to be someone my child would look up to.”

On what she was on during her DUI: “I had smoked marijuana that day. Just marijuana. I had Vicodin in my system from that day. I never in my head thought that could play a part in your driving. Like, never did I think that. It was hours ago.”

On what went wrong: “I literally thought I was okay to drive, and clearly wasn’t. It was bad decision after bad decision after bad decision. It’s been a pattern in my life. When I get into trouble, I try to get out of it.”

On her pattern of trouble in the past year: “I wasn’t growing, I wasn’t going anywhere, and I saw myself going down that road again with this particular situation.”

On her current drug usage: “I don’t take anything now.”
