Lindsay Lohan opens up to ET about the rumors that she has problems with drugs, alcohol and/or prescription medication.

The freckle-faced actress replies, “No, I don’t. I work. And if I go out with my friends, I’m 23 and I’m allowed to do that. I don’t go out when I’m working… When did I stop being okay? I am fine. I am happy and I am working. And I’m good. And I’m surrounded by great friends now. You know, I have weeded out a lot of people in my life.”

“I don’t pay attention to [the bad press],” adds Lindsay. “The only problem is that it distracts from me getting jobs, and that is when it hurts me. Especially when it is not true. … Everyone goes through ups and downs. I am not one to hide anything. I am an honest person. I take it for what it is. I am me.”

Adds Lindsay‘s mom Dina, “We have a good relationship. We fight like friends do. She is a very strong woman. I’ve learned a lot. Not every mother has to read false stories about their daughter. It’s nice to know she has sat by me through all of that. She knows what is really happening in my life… We are just very misunderstood. And, when I read it, it breaks my heart because it is not true. I am going to cry. I’m really going to cry. … She has the biggest heart of anyone on the planet.”

Ali Lohan visits the Nintendo DSi Lounge at Super Saturday 12, the annual fundraiser benefiting OCRF (Ovarian Cancer Research Fund) in the Hamptons, NY on Saturday (August 1).

The 15-year-old actress was accompanied by her younger brother Cody, 13, and celeb stylist Rachel Zoe (with her nephew Luke).

Other pictures include Ali and Cody DJ-ing at the Blackberry Brick Breaker event at New York City’s Z-Com wireless store on July 30.

It was a Lohan family affair at the launch of A|X Watches at the SLS Hotel on Wednesday (April 15) in Los Angeles. All the ladies showed up — Lindsay Lohan, younger sister Ali Lohan and mom Dina Lohan.

Lindsay, 22, wore a strapless Balmain mini while Ali, 15, opted for a hip-hugging red number with a leather vest.

Earlier this week, Linds released a funny dating service spoof. Dina explained to ET why the video was made: “The hype is ridiculous so we decided to kind of make fun of it. I said ‘Lindsay let’s just do funnyordie.com and just kind of make fun of it all.’ It’s really gotten out of hand, the rumors and everything that they’re saying about myself and my children.”

Kitty cat Ali Lohan shows off her midriff in a sheer white tank at Animal Fair Magazine‘s Halloween Pet Costume Party on Monday in New York City.

The 14-year-old younger sister of Lindsay Lohan was joined by momager Dina. The event benefited the Humane Society of New York.

In related news, TMZ reports Ali filed a petition to get court approval to work with Maloof Music.

Lindsay Lohan may not be featured in Living Lohan, the reality series that follows little sister Ali and mom Dina, but that hasn’t stopped her dad, Michael, from sharing his reactions.

Mr. Lohan will be blogging about each episode on OK! magazine’s website. Here’s an excerpt: “For now, let’s just say I’m still trying to figure out if this show is about managing Ali’s career and being a “real” mother, or reading tabloids. I’ve had a sneak peek at some future episodes and I will say that some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me — again, I can address that when they appear on the show. I just hope Dina takes the high road — like a Lohan would — and rights these wrongs.”

Lindsay Lohan‘s mother, Dina, and younger sister, Ali, promote their new reality TV show Living Lohan, on The View.

The mother-daughter duo’s segment will air on Monday, May 26 on ABC. Living Lohan premieres later on that same day @ 10:30PM ET/PT on E!

Ali recently sat down with People and shared about being ridiculed at school: “A little while ago … a couple of girls in school made up a video of me and put it up on YouTube. They used disgusting words. Like if my mom ever heard me say that stuff, I’d be grounded for life! … They’re disgusting kids. I got really aggravated… [The students] got suspended.”

Ali adds, “You learn so much more – it’s just hard to focus when girls are giving you problems. No one’s talking about you behind your back. It’s definitely easier. [But] I don’t think it’s just because of my sister [Lindsay] and who she is. I think it happens to all the other girls out there, because girls are just mean. It doesn’t happen with guys. When I asked [my little brother] Cody, he was like, ‘No, Guys don’t care!’ ” More Here! »

Living Lohan is a new reality TV show documenting the daily lives of Lindsay Lohan‘s family, with most of the focus being on manager mother Dina and Lindsay‘s little sister Ali. Here are some choice quotes from the Lohan clan:
