That same day, the 27-year-old actress’ mom Dina Lohan received a sentence for her September 2013 DWI arrest in Long Island.

She was fined $3000, given 100 hours of community service and her driver’s license was suspended for one year.

“In spite of the fact that the District Court of Nassau County dispenses the sternest DWI Sentences in America, which traditionally provides for a period of incarceration and three years of Probation, Dina Lohan‘s Sentence did not provide for any period of incarceration or Probation, in light of Dina Lohan‘s exemplary record with no prior arrest history and in deference to the Nassau County Screening Evaluation of Ms. Lohan which concluded that she has no alcohol or substance abuse issues,” a statement from her lawyer read (via ABC News).

“Clearly, it was recognized that Dina Lohan has been a life-long resident of Nassau County, a good and loving Parent to four children and the arrest was borne out of an isolated act of indiscretion on the occasion of her 50th Birthday. Dina Lohan is happy to put this unfortunate event behind her,” the statement concluded.

The 27-year-old actress posted a tribute to her mother Dina Lohan in honor of Mother’s Day!

“Blessed to have such a strong, loving, wonderful mommy!” Lindsay wrote on her Twitter account.

She posted the same pic of the duo on her Instagram with the caption “Happy Mother’s Day mommy!!!! @dinalohan ❤️❤️❤️ I love you soooooo much!.”

“Dina Lonan is painfully mindful of the gravity of her arrest for driving while intoxicated,” defense attorney Mark Heller shared (via CBS News) outside the courtroom. “I am confident that the district attorney’s office and the judicial system will temper justice with mercy. ”

Lindsay Lohan is all smiles while starting her day off with some shopping at Kiki De Montparnasse on Monday morning (September 15) in New York City.

The night before, the 27-year-old actress was seen attending her mom Dina Lohan‘s birthday party alongside some of her other family members.

Family friend Jill Zarin from the Real Housewives of New York City was in attendance and posted a photo with Lindsay and Dina on her Instagram page.
