Jason Momoa Dons Aquaman's Iconic Suit in Brand-New Image!

Jason Momoa channels Aquaman in this brand-new still!

The new pic features the 39-year-old Game of Thrones actor glistening in the superhero’s iconic gold and green suit, carrying his trident as he stands underneath a waterfall.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

The film also stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Ludi Lin, and Temuera Morrison.

'Aquaman' Trailer Starring Jason Momoa Debuts at Comic-Con!

A new trailer for the upcoming superhero movie Aquaman is here!

The new look at the film debuted during 2018 Comic-Con with several of the cast members in attendance, including Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry (Momoa) and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

Aquaman will hit theaters on December 21.

'Aquaman' Movie Officially Begins Production in Australia

Filming for the highly-anticipated action movie Aquaman has begun.

Directed by James Wan, the film stars Jason Momoa, who appeared as the character in Justice League this past fall.

The movie also stars Amber Heard as Mera; Willem Dafoe as Vulko; Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry; Dolph Lundgren as Nereus; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, and Nicole Kidman as Atlanna.

The shoot will take place mainly in locations spanning the stunning Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia, with some filming in Newfoundland, Sicily, and Tunisia.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Aquaman is known in the DC Comics as the ruler of Atlantis who is committed to protecting the entire globe, both land and sea.

The film will hit theaters in 2018.

Dolph Lundgren Joins 'Aquaman' as New Villain!

Dolph Lundgren is heading underwater to join the cast of Aquaman!

The 59-year-old actor will be joining the cast – which includes Jason Momoa and Amber Heard – of the new DC superhero film in a villainous new role, THR reports.

Dolph will be playing King Nereus of the aquatic kingdom of Xebel, who claims Mera (Amber) as his own and wants to kill Aquaman (Jason).

Other stars set to star in the upcoming film include Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Aquaman is set to hit theaters in 2018.
