Amy Schumer revealed the story behind why she suddenly fired Penn Badgley‘s wife, Domino Kirke, as her doula after the birth of her son Gene in 2019.
Amy made the reveal directly to Penn on his podcast, Podcrushed, alongside his two co-hosts, Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari.

Penn and his wife Domino, who is a musician and actress, are not often seen together but he did make some rare public comments about her a few years back. She got him a You-themed birthday cake for his November 2021 birthday! If you don’t know, Domino‘s sister is Girls actress Jemima Kirke!

In honor of his 35th birthday on Monday (November 1), the actor’s wife, Domino Kirke-Badgley, took to social media to show off the You-themed birthday cake she had made by baker Stacy-Ann Douge.

Domino Kirke has shared a sweet new image of her newborn son with his father, Penn Badgley.
The 36-year-old doula snapped the pic of the father and son duo, posting it on Instagram over the weekend to share with her family, friends and fans.
In the image, Penn has his mask pulled to his chin while gazing down at the one-month-old baby boy.
The baby’s name has not yet been revealed.

Domino revealed just last month that she and Penn welcomed their baby boy to the world with a snapshot of Penn sleeping in bed beside her and the baby in front of her.
She also has an 11-year-old son, Cassius, who she shares with musician Morgan O’Kane.

Penn Badgley is a dad!
The 33-year-old You star’s wife Domino Kirke confirmed that she and Penn had welcomed their first child together with a picture on her Instagram Stories.
Along with the image of the baby and Penn sleeping side by side in the bed, Domino also posted a painting of a red uterus on her feed.
“His heart shaped home ❣️ #40dayspostpartum,” she captioned, seemingly confirming that their baby was a boy.
Domino has an older son, Cassius, whom she shares with musician Morgan O’Kane.
She announced she was expecting a baby with Penn in February, sharing an image of her baby bump that was almost covering her feet.
“On the road again,” she wrote at the time. “Pregnancy after loss is a whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row, we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience.”

The announcement comes just after the 13th Anniversary of Gossip Girl, and 10th anniversary of Easy A, which both starred Penn.
Singer Domino Kirke, the wife of Penn Badgley and sister of Girls actress Jemima Kirke, is stepping away as a doula and co-creator of her company Carriage House Birth after the company was accused of racism.
It started when birth worker, writer and activist ShiShi Rose posted on her Instagram about her experience at the company, writing, “I will no longer be teaching with Carriage House Birth. I cant be in business with white people that don’t prioritize anti racism in the foundation of their business…Hiring Black bodies, and visually displaying Black bodies on your platforms is NOT anti racism work. Using Black bodies to gain money/better your business while not doing any anti racism work is peak colonization.”
Domino responded in her own post on Instagram, writing, “As you all know, 3 days ago anti-racist educator and activist Shishi Rose called out Carriage House Birth and myself. This week has been about pausing so I can really get behind what I say and do next. I didn’t trust myself to respond personally on social media right away. After a few days of consultations with mentors in my community, CHB has decided to pause on all trainings and offerings for the forseeable future. We will be offering full refunds to our clients and students,” the 36-year-old posted on Instagram, adding she is “committed to compensating Shishi Rose for the harm we caused her.”
Domino is currently pregnant and expecting a baby with Penn.

“On the road again… pregnancy after loss is whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all,” Domino wrote. “It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience. When I was pregnant at 25, I knew nothing. I had no community. I dove in blissfully unaware about birth and its mysteries. Now, with 10 years worth of experience to pull from, I treasure my birth community and the knowledge I have. You’re already teaching us how to stay in the day in a way we’ve never had to, little one. Thank you.”
Penn has rarely spoken about his wife in interviews, but he did recently make some statements about her.
