On being in a relationship with someone in the business: “Dougie and I have such different musical worlds, but he understands when I’ve had a tough rehearsal or tough couple of days traveling. I don’t like to rely on him to get me through everything, though. I’m an independent person�”I do like to take care of things myself. It’s important to figure out ways of keeping your own Zen.”
On if they’re on again, or off again: “I’ve been busy; he’s been busy. We’re apart constantly, but we’re great because we accept it’s never going to be perfect.”
On the strangest part about their relationship: “People always say we look like brother and sister. Even our family members say it. It’s quite weird.”

On sexism in the music industry: “I get annoyed when men write degrading songs about women, but women are starting to speak out. And I got annoyed when Glastonbury had so many men on the line-up… but then Florence headlined. Things are changing, you know? And I love it.”
On whatTaylor Swift is really like: “She’s really funny. She’s got a very British sense of humour. We love doing scenes from The Office.”
On cherishing her school friendships: “I have friends who are famous, and I have friends who are not famous, but those older connections are the particularly special ones…High school and primary school are so special to me. If anyone said, ‘We’re having a reunion,’ I’d be so excited!”
