Dog the Bounty Hunter Tearfully Remembers Wife Beth at Her Memorial: 'I Miss Her So Much'

Dog the Bounty Hunter got emotional during his late wife Beth Chapman‘s memorial service in Colorado.

The 66-year-old reality star -whose real name is Duane Chapman – to the stage at the Heritage Christian Center in Aurora where he fought back tears while remembering his wife.

“I cannot believe that she’s gone. This is not possible, I want to wake up from a dream,” Duane shared. “She will never be dead to me. She is in another place. ’m gonna get to heaven and make her so proud. She’s gonna say like she said here, ‘That’s my man right there, that’s big daddy right there.’”

Beth lost her battle with throat cancer in June. She was 51-years-old.

“I walked through the closet the other day and I smell her,” Duane tearfully said. “Then this morning, I could smell her. I said, ‘Is it okay if I keep the closet like that?’ ” he shared, before adding that a loved one had responded: “Until you die, that closet is staying the same.”

“It is one of the worst feelings a man or woman could ever have. I’m telling you,” Duane continued. “I’ve never felt this bad, I’m sad. I didn’t want to do a celebration of life because I’m sad. I miss her so much.”

Beth Chapman's Family Will Hold 'Hawaiian Style' Memorial in Waikiki

Beth Chapman‘s family is paying tribute to her with a “true Hawaiian style” service.

Dog the Bounty Hunter‘s late wife – who sadly passed away earlier this week at the age of 51 after battling throat cancer – will be honored with an oceanfront gathering at Fort DeRussy Beach on Saturday (June 29) at 2 p.m. in Waikiki, Hawaii.

Cecily and Lyssa Chapman invite the public to join the Chapman ʻOhana (family) for a gathering to honor Beth Chapmanʻs life,” a rep for the family told People. “Beth had two homes — Hawai’i and Colorado. ‘I love Hawai’i the most,’ she said, so she will be sent off in true Hawaiian style, with aloha.”

Beth Chapman will receive a “Hawaiian ʻOli (chant), prayer, followed by a paddle out with family and friends.”

Guests are “asked to bring ocean-friendly loose flowers, and please no leis (the strings can be harmful to ocean life).”

“Those wishing to post photos and videos are asked to tag with #alohaoemrsdog,” the rep added. “‘Oe means ‘you’ in Hawaiian. It is customary to say, ‘Aloha ‘Oe’ especially when saying farewell. There is a song by the same name, which Hawaiians often sing at the end of a party, funerals, or when people are leaving the islands.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter is also “finalizing plans for a memorial service in Colorado, and details will be announced shortly.”

Dog the Bounty Hunter is opening up about the death of his wife Beth.

Shortly after he announced that Beth had lost her battle with cancer, the 66-year-old reality star – whose real name is Duane Chapman – and two of his daughters spoke with the media waiting outside of his house on Wednesday (June 26) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

“It’s terrible, the most terrible time in someone’s life,” Duane shared with Hawaii News Now. “You kind of try to remember that you’re celebrating life, but right now we’re mourning the death, so it’s not good.”

Duane then opened up about the emotional day – and revealed that Beth‘s final words were about making sure her family would be okay.

“When she had an attack I didn’t know anything to do but to say ‘in Jesus’ name’ and hold her and when I said ‘in Jesus’ name’ she said, ‘Say it again, say it more,’” Duane tearfully shared. “And then she told the girls and everybody, with her mouth — she came out of it a couple times — ‘I love you’ and ‘Are you guys all okay? Don’t worry,’ but she never accepted it.”

Duane continued: “I loved her so much. “As Lazarus lay, Jesus said he’s not dead, he’s sleepeth. My final words are Beth isn’t dead, she’s sleeping.”

Beth was first diagnosed with stage 2 throat cancer in 2017, and was cancer free for months but it returned in November of 2018.

Beth Chapman Is Not Expected to Recover After Coma (Report)

Beth Chapman is sadly not expected to recover and leave the hospital, according to a new report from TMZ on Tuesday (June 25).

Her mother has reportedly flown in to be by her side, and her children and grandchildren are also gathering by her bedside.

The 51-year-old wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter (AKA Duane Chapman) was put into a medically induced coma over the weekend after struggling with breathing and choking.

If you didn’t know, Beth has been fighting Stage 4 lung cancer. She was first diagnosed in 2017, and suffered a recurrence in November of 2018.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is posting his first update after his wife Beth Chapman was placed in a medically-induced coma over the weekend.

Beth, 51, is currently battling cancer, and had to be put in the coma to help treat her properly at the hospital.

On Monday (June 24), he took to his Twitter account to post for the first time since asking fans for their prayers.

He posted a photo of Beth‘s hand to show off her manicure and wrote, “You all know how she is about HER NAILS !!”

Beth Chapman, best known for starring on the reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter, is currently in a medically-induced coma and more information has come to light.

The 51-year-old reality star was admitted to the hospital in Hawaii over the weekend amid her battle with cancer.

TMZ is reporting that doctors decided to place Beth in a medically-induced coma after they found it “difficult to treat her.” When doctors tried to treat her, “Beth began yanking out the lines doctors were using to give her fluids and medications.”
