Douglas Booth and Ed Westwick suit up for a presentation of their film Romeo & Juliet at the Majestic Terrasse during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 19) in Cannes, France.

Earlier in the day, Ed, 24, arrived at the airport in Nice to get ready for the festival.

The CW is renewing two of its most popular shows, Hart of Dixie, featuring Rachel Bilson and Jaime King, and Gossip Girl, which stars Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick.

Nikita, The Vampire Diaries, and 90210 were also renewed. “IT’S OFFICIAL! #Nikita Season 3 here we come!” Lyndsy Fonseca tweeted.

Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s drama Ringer and fantasy series The Secret Circle were both cut from the lineup.

The CW also picked up five new pilots, including The Carrie Diaries, a Sex and the City prequel series featuring AnnaSophia Robb, and Beauty and the Beast, an adaptation of the classic fairy tale.

“When I saw Douglas Booth in his costume and Hailee Steinfeld, it was clear that we had found a way to retell this most classic of all love stories, with a pair of lovers who really are as young, as pure, and as handsome as I had always wanted them to be,” screenwriter Julian Fellowes writes in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands Friday (May 11).

Leighton recently shared some exciting news with her followers on Twitter – she’s going on tour with the band Check in the Dark!

The 25-year-old actress, who finished off her look with Mary Jane heels, filmed some scenes for the CW drama with co-star Ed Westwick.

Leighton “specializes in elevating unsavory women above the ‘crazy b—-’ stereotype. She doesn’t play the girl you love to hate. She does something far trickier: She makes you love the hateable girl,” Marie Claire wrote about its April cover girl.
