Lindsay Lohan is opening up about why she called off her engagement to Egor Tarabasov.

The 30-year-old actress gave a very telling interview to Russian television’s Channel One.

“I went to bed and he broke into my house. He started strangling me,” Lindsay said (via E! News). “I feared that Egor may splash acid in my face. I jumped out to the balcony and shouted with all my force, ‘He’s trying to kill me, call the police!’ I am lucky to come to Moscow to speak.”

Egor gave a statement to the Daily Mail after the accusatory interview.

“It has come to my attention that my former fiancée, Lindsay Lohan, is planning a new smear campaign against me in the Russian and international media,” Egor said. “My relationship with Lindsay came to an end in July 2016. In the weeks that followed, there were numerous attempts to discredit my name by inaccurately portraying the nature of our relationship, publishing distorted facts, and making false accusations.”

Lindsay Lohan has broken her silence regarding her struggling relationship with fiance Egor Tarabasov.

The 30-year-old actress opened up to the Daily Mail about alleged abuse she has endured.

“I realize now you can’t stay in a relationship just for love,” she said. “No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry.”

“The truth is, I wanted to make things work, but now I’m not sure that I can,” Lindsay continued. “I wanted to do this interview because it’s time to tell the truth. There have been so many lies printed about me recently. I’ve kept quiet for so long but now I’m scared of what Egor might do to me and to himself.”

She also opened up about a recent incident in which he aggressively grabbed her on the beach in Mykonos, which was photographed.

“Egor drank too much and he went crazy,” Lindsay said. “It’s not the first time. That’s the problem. But this time, someone saw.”

“I need closure. I genuinely fell in love with him but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe,” Lindsay said. “I know I’m not an angel but I’ve tried to fix things. It’s down to him now. I had suggested we go for couples’ counseling but there comes a time when I have to put myself first, my family, and also think about my career which I’ve worked so hard for. I also don’t want to let my fans down by not being the strong woman I have become.”

Rumors of the 30-year-old actress’ apparent pregnancy first surfaced over the weekend, when she made a series of social media posts alluding that she was expecting with Egor Tarabasov amid relationship troubles.

“She texted it to me and told me … I don’t know [how far along she is],” Michael said. Apparently, Lindsay wrote, “Daddy, I’m pregnant.”

Lindsay has since taken to social media to apologize to her fans for putting exposing her private matters on her accounts.

The 30-year-old actress went online over the weekend to accuse her fiance Egor Tarabasov of cheating on her and then a video surfaced in which she claimed he assaulted her.

“Dear friends. I’m good and well. #ATM I am taking time for myself with good friends,” Lindsay said. “I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently. I was acting out of fear and sadness… We all make mistakes. Sadly mine have always been so public.”

“I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have,” Lindsay added. “Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in. My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages. Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not.. I hope they can. But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant Life is about love and light. Not anger 🙏🏻 Thank you to those who stand by my side.”

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old actress posted several social media messages suggesting Egor had cheated, and suggesting she was pregnant.

A video of Lindsay accusing Egor of strangling her also surfaced.

“Lindsay believes Egor has anger-management issues and she would like him to go to therapy. They both want to work things out,” Lindsay‘s rep told Page Six. The rep added, “I cannot confirm her pregnancy.”

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old actress took to social media to accuse her fiance of cheating on her and even stated “I am pregnant” in one post. A video then surfaced of Lindsay on the balcony of her apartment in which she accused Egor of strangling her.

“I would appreciate if these speculations regarding my personal life would respectfully come to a halt,” Lindsay wrote on her Instagram account on Monday (July 25). “Unfortunately, a private matter has become more public than I can control and I would be extremely grateful if my fiancé and myself could discuss our personal matters on our own. There are more important things going on in the world than our relationship. Please leave us be to solve our personal matters.”
