Elisabeth Moss Reveals What It's Like To Be Nominated for 8 Emmy Awards

Elisabeth Moss takes the cover of THR‘s latest issue looking so summer chic.

Here’s what the 34-year-old Handmaid’s Tale star had to share with the mag:

On being attacked for saying Handmaid’s Tale is “not a feminist story”: “I was asked a question about my character, and I was thinking about my character and about the TV show not that I was speaking for feminists.”

On women’s rights: “I’m such a staunch believer in women’s rights, I don’t really give a shit about anybody who isn’t. It’s like, I don’t need them to watch the show. At a certain point, things are more important than your job.”

On her Emmy nominations: “It’s lucky number eight…But if you’ve been nominated seven times and lost seven times, you learn to be pretty excited about being nominated. You feel this sense of, ‘Well, at least I seem to be doing well consistently.’”

Jennifer Lawrence, Jon Hamm, & More Unite for Planned Parenthood (Video)

Jennifer Lawrence and Jon Hamm are just two of more than 25 stars who want you to take control of your health and body.

In a new video posted by Lena Dunham‘s online newsletter, Lenny Letter, along with news company NowThis, celebs have joined forces to support Planned Parenthood.

They urge viewers to fight against President Donald Trump‘s proposed health care bill and protect access to health care services by calling their senators.

The video also features Brie Larson, Amy Poehler, Judd Apatow, Spike Jonze, Riz Ahmed, Elisabeth Moss, Aubrey Plaza, Alison Brie, Jack Antonoff, Jenny Slate, Suki Waterhouse, activist Gloria Steinem, comedian Retta, and more.

“We are so grateful to have the support of so many artists, many of whom have themselves relied on Planned Parenthood for health care and who understand the importance of speaking out,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, in a statement.

“This support is especially important right now as the Senate is jamming through a bill that would block millions of women from getting birth control and cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood,” she added. “Now is the time to speak out. One in five women in this country rely on Planned Parenthood for care. They will not stay silent as politicians vote to take away their care and their rights.”

'Handmaid's Tale' Season 2: Elisabeth Moss Teases What's Ahead

The season one finale of The Handmaid’s Tale has finally become available on Hulu and fans are already clamoring for details on the second season!

Elisabeth Moss, the star of the show, spoke about what could be to come on the second season. SPOILER WARNING – there are spoilers ahead about the end of season one.

“For fans of the book, when that book ends, it’s so frustrating because you’re like “Wait, what the f— happens to her?!” You don’t know anything! So for me, as the biggest fan of the book, I’m just excited to see what happens too, I want to know!” Elisabeth told Entertainment Weekly. “So the fact that we get to continue that story, when do you ever get to do that? That’s so rare. As a fan of a book, to then get to continue the story? Come on — it doesn’t happen, it’s so cool.”

“Besides all the obvious stuff of where is she going, is she getting out of Gilead, that kind of thing, the main thing for her is going to be this pregnancy and this baby, bringing this baby into the world and whether or not that’s a good idea, and what she does if it does happen,” Elisabeth continued. “[Showrunner Bruce Miller] and I have been talking a lot, obviously, and there’s so many things that we haven’t explored yet even from the book — so many lines, you know? So much text that we haven’t gotten a chance to even say.”

Elisabeth Moss Filmed for 'Handmaid's Tale' the Day After the Election

Elisabeth Moss is featured in this high fashion photo shoot for Elle.com!

Here’s what the 34-year-old The Handmaid’s Tale star had to share with the mag:

On going out on election night: “Like, I don’t go out, I don’t socialize. Especially when I’m working. I hang out with my family and I have, like, three friends. And I went out because I thought we were gonna have the first female president, and I wanted to be out for that. I thought that was gonna be an amazing moment to see.”

On filming scenes the day after the election results: “It’s hard to say whether or not my performance would have been different, but I know what I was feeling when I said that, and I can see it in the scene. I took it personally in a way that I perhaps would not have if it wasn’t November 8th. It was a weird, intense day.”

On Nick and Offred’s relationship in Handmaid’s Tale: “It’s part of the reason that I’m really excited about a season 2, she’s in this position where she might be in love with two people. Honestly I think she does love Nick—if I can speak for her—but I don’t know if she knows that she does, yet. But she has a husband who she also loves, who’s the father of Hannah, who she also now knows is alive. It’s the most complicated Real Housewives episode you’ve ever seen. The Real Housewives of Gilead is gonna have a great reunion after episode 10.”
