Elizabeth Olsen Reveals Why She's Going to Delete Instagram 'Relatively Soon'

Elizabeth Olsen is opening up about why she’s going to “delete [Instagram] relatively soon.”

“Every day I think I should delete it,” the 29-year-old Avengers: Infinity War star told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “I still don’t know why I’m on it, then I think well ‘I guess I want to promote Avengers’ and then I find myself putting something private up there and I think ‘this is stupid, why did I do that? I should delete it immediately.’”

Elizabeth continued, “I’m trying to treat that aspect of my life as part of the job. There are ways I can benefit by having it, but I will delete it relatively soon because I’ll stop having promotional stuff. It’s a distraction more than anything.”

Last year, Elizabeth admitted that she joined Instagram for the financial opportunities the social media service presented.

Elizabeth Olsen Doesn't Want a Scarlet Witch Standalone Movie

Elizabeth Olsen loves her role in Avengers, but she isn’t looking for a Scarlet Witch standalone movie!

The 29-year-old actress recently revealed that while she’s not going to push for a film about her superhero character, she’s not opposed to the idea.

“We are at ground zero. It’s definitely not something I’m pushing, and I don’t know if it’s something that [Marvel is] going to push either,” Elizabeth said during Danny Pellegrino‘s podcast.

She added, “Paul Bettany and I joked about having a domestic television show on Netflix or something, and it would just be like a house event where Scarlet Witch goes bananas. That’s what we joke about, but I don’t think any of those things are happening. But I’m happy that I’m still around and they still use me well – and that’s fine.”

For now, fans can see Elizabeth play Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Infinity War, which hits theaters on April 27th.

Elizabeth Olsen Weighs In on 'Fuller House' Casting Rumors

Elizabeth Olsen is speaking out about being added to the casting conversations for Netflix’s Fuller House.

After Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided not to return to the role of Michelle for the reboot of Full House, there was speculation that their younger sister Elizabeth might want to take the role.

“That was weird, because it was also like, ‘Leave me out of this. This has nothing to do with me,’” Elizabeth said on the Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino podcast.

“I had to answer questions about it immediately after,” she added. “I was doing press, and I was like, ‘I don’t know what anyone’s talking about. Stop talking to me about this.’”

John Stamos is the one who came up with the idea to ask Lizzie to join the show.
