CW Picks Up 'Walker, Texas Ranger' Reboot & 'Superman & Lois' Shows For 2020-2021 Season

The CW has picked up both Walker, Texas Ranger reboot and new Superman & Lois series, according to several reports.

The network has greenlit the two projects, forgoing any formal pilot, THR reports.

The first episodes for the two shows will be filmed in the spring in advance of The CW’s upfront presentation.

Walker, Texas Ranger reboot centers on Cordell Walker, played by Jared, “a widowed father of two with his own moral code who returns to his home in Austin after two years of undercover work on a high-profile case, only to discover there’s more work to be done at home. He’ll try to reconnect with his children, navigate clashes with his conservative family, and find unexpected common ground with his new partner, one of the few women ever to serve in the Texas Rangers — while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances of his wife’s death.”

Superman & Lois, with Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, is described as “revolving around the world’s most famous super hero and comics’ most famous journalist deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.”
