Dolly Parton is addressing Elle King‘s “hammered” performance.

Last month, Elle, 34, performed at the Grand Ole Opry as part of a tribute to Dolly in honor of her 78th birthday.

While on stage, Elle announced to fans that she was “f-cking hammered,” forgot the words to one of Dolly‘s songs, and was allegedly slurring her speech. The Grand Ole Opry seemingly cut her show short by pulling the curtain on her.

In a new interview, Dolly broke her silence on the incident.

Elle King has postponed a planned performance that was set to take place on Friday (January 26) after delivering a controversial concert earlier this month.

The 34-year-old “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer was scheduled to take the stage for a show at Billy Bob’s Texas. On Wednesday (January 24), the venue took to social media to announce that it had been pushed back by several months.

The Grand Ole Opry is addressing backlash over Elle King‘s recent performance.

On Friday night (January 19), the 34-year-old singer took the stage at the Ryman Auditorium for a performance during a tribute to Dolly Parton in honor of her 78th birthday.

While on stage, Elle seemingly spoke in gibberish and forgot the lyrics to Dolly‘s song “Marry Me,” also admitting that she was impaired.

“I don’t know the lyrics to these things in this f–king town,” Elle sang, as seen in TikToks. “Don’t tell Dolly ’cause it’s her birthday.”

Elle King is still recovering after a serious fall in December.

The 33-year-old singer shared that she was rendered unconscious and had amnesia when she slipped and fell down a flight of stairs.

“I was walking down our steps in the middle of the night, to make a bottle, and I slipped and knocked myself unconscious,” Elle said.

Elle King had to cancel several radio gigs after falling down the stairs and sustaining a concussion.

The 33-year-old singer took to her Instagram story to share the bad news and to provide a health update to her fans.

She explained that the injury happened while she was taking care of son Lucky Levi Tooker.

Lainey Wilson made the 2022 CMA Awards a very special night for her and her dad.

The 30-year-old musician and Yellowstone actress hit the red carpet with her dad, Brian, on Wednesday night (November 9) at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

Just last month, Brian suffered a stroke, following an infection that cost him an eye, which makes him being at the event much more special.

“My daddy is going to walk the CMAs carpet with me,” Lainey told the NY Post in an interview. “He was sick [with a fungal infection caused by diabetic ketoacidosis] this summer, and we didn’t think that he was gonna make it. He spent two weeks in ICU and a few weeks in a rehab facility. But he has been working really hard to get to the point where he can walk me on the carpet.”

Wynonna Judd, Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, Lindsay Ell, Elle King and husband Dan Tooker, Little Big Town, Lady A, and Lainey‘s Yellowstone co-star Cole Hauser were also seen at the event.

FYI: Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild wore Alaia, and her bandmate Kimberly Schlapman wore Azzi & Osta.
