Ellen DeGeneres is paying tribute to her late father Elliott DeGeneres, who sadly passed away earlier this week.
The daytime TV host revealed the news of his death to her audience during The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday (January 11).
“In addition to what’s going on in Montecito, I lost my dad this week,” she emotionally told the audience. “He was 92 years old. He had a good, long life.”
She also revealed that she was able to say goodbye, and discussed an incredible sign that she believes she received from her father upon his passing: a rainbow above the Warner Brothers studio.
“I got a rainbow before he died,” she said.
