Elsa Pataky got stuck in a scary situation while at home in Australia!

The 44-year-old actress, who is married to Marvel star Chris Hemsworth, was forced to escape through the window of her car after getting stuck in a flooded roadway.

Elsa took to her Instagram Stories to share videos of the ordeal.

“A bit too optimistic? I was so sure I could cross,” Elsa captioned one of the videos while brown water surrounded her in the car.

In another video, Elsa said, “I got stuck. Awesome. Oh god, oh god what am I doing?”

The final video showed Chris‘ personal trainer Luke Zocchi coming to the rescue and helping her to safety. She asked him, “What would I do without you?”

Last month, Elsa and Chris were spotted out for lunch with his younger brother Liam and his new girlfriend.

Chris Hemsworth is opening up about why wife Elsa Pataky isn’t Elsa Hemsworth.

Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O radio show over the weekend, the 36-year-old actor revealed that a passport is to blame.

“I think that she wanted to, I think she still may,” he shared. “I think it was when we were coming back from America. We were living in Europe and deciding where to go. It was a complication of passports and so on.”

Chris added that Elsa “might still do it.”

The couple married in 2010 and have three children together.

The 36-year-old actor was spotted going shirtless at the beach earlier this month in Australia during a break from isolating at home.

Chris was joined by his wife Elsa Pataky and their three kids (not pictured), as well as the family dog Sunny. He went surfing with the kids while Elsa stayed behind on the beach with their pet pooch.

“My wife was ordering a box of toilet paper, like, three months ago and thought it was 15 rolls and ordered 15 boxes. So, unintentionally, we’re stocked. We can bootleg this stuff if need be, but we have 15 boxes of toilet paper there,” he amusingly revealed.

He also showed off his iconic Thor prop hammer, which Jimmy joked about.

“You know what would be fun? If you stand that thing up and put some of your many rolls of toilet paper on it. You can use that as a pretty nifty toilet paper holder,” Jimmy said.

He also opened up about Thor 4, and said this about the upcoming movie.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have chosen to live in Australia with their three children – India, 7, and 6-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan. Now, Chris is explaining why he prefers the Aussie lifestyle over living in Hollywood.

“There’s not a single person that I interact with, or close friends of mine, that are really in the industry and so that’s hugely refreshing,” Chris said in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph (via People). “It’s great for my kids and my wife.”

“When you’re suffocated by the work, every conversation that you’re having and every billboard you’re seeing is to do with a movie or whatever around the industry, you lose perspective,” he added.

And he’s planning to take a break the rest of this year from filming. “I just want to stop for a while. I need to be home for a minute. Just enjoy it,” he said. “It all flies by.”

On moving to Byron Bay to avoid the paparazzi: “My daughter started to get scared of photos, actually. So we realised this is not a way to live, because you just become enclosed in a house. I love nature and I love to be outside, and I wanted my kids to have that freedom, so we decided to leave.”

On getting a tattoo with former sister-in-law Miley Cyrus: “I don’t regret any of them [tattoos], they’re symbols and I love having them and it reminds me of those moments.”

On raising her kids outside of a city: “My goal was always, when I have kids, to be in a place that’s not the city. I want them to grow up in nature, because I crave that. But that step did take me away from one of my big passions in life: acting, and it was a big change. But I changed my life to be a mum, which I think is just the most amazing thing in the world … I wanted to pick my kids up, I wanted to take them to school, I wanted to be part of the school and be involved in what they do.”
