The 40-year-old “Hold Me Closer” singer celebrated the release of her new duet with Elton John on Friday (August 26) by sharing a cute, funny video on Twitter.
The track marks Britney‘s first new music release since her 2016 studio album, Glory.

Britney Spears‘ highly-anticipated return to the music world has finally arrived!
The singer’s new single “Hold Me Closer,” a collaboration with legendary artist Elton John, was just released on streaming services.
Britney provided new vocals for the song, which features lyrics from Elton‘s songs “Tiny Dancer” and “The One.”
“She’s been away so long – there’s a lot of fear there because she’s been betrayed so many times and she hasn’t really been in the public eye officially for so long,” Elton told Billboard. “We’ve been holding her hand through the whole process, reassuring her that everything’s gonna be all right.
The song’s producer Andrew Watt told Billboard, “She really pushed herself, vocally. Sometimes when you produce, the greatest thing in the world you can do is say nothing, so I just let her do her thing. She’s so good at knowing when she got the right take. She took complete control.”

The 75-year-old “Tiny Dancer” icon shared the single artwork for his forthcoming duet with the 40-year-old Glory pop star on Friday (August 19), called “Hold Me Closer.”
Along with the single art – which features childhood photos of the two superstars – the announcement came with the song’s release date: August 26.

Elton John and his husband David Furnish are enjoying their summer break!
The 75-year-old singer-songwriter and the 59-year-old producer were spotted on wearing their fun summer clothes during their vacation on Monday (August 15) in the south of France.
Elton and David were joined on the trip by their two sons Zachary, 11, and Elijah, 9 (not pictured).
Elton is currently in the middle of his final North American leg of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road world tour, though he has a full month of from performing. His next show isn’t until September 7 in Toronto!
Just before his break, Elton stopped by a performance of his new musical The Devil Wears Prada in Chicago, where its in the middle of a pre-Broadway run.
