Elvis Presley Movie: Director Revealed!

Elvis Presley will have his story told in a big screen biopic called Fame & Fortune – and now John Scheinfeld has been named to direct the project!

THR reports that the film will begin casting in the late fall and aims to hit the big screen next year – the same year that marks the 35th anniversary of the music legend’s death.

Fame & Fortune is an adaptation of Elvis: Still Taking Care of Business, a biography written by one of Elvis‘ former bodyguards, Sonny West.

Carrie Underwood Duets With Elvis Presley

Country crooner Carrie Underwood is featured on the Elvis Presley Christmas Duets CD, in stores now. The 25-year-old former American Idol champ and The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll sing “I’ll be Home for Christmas” together.

Carrie shared, “Priscilla actually asked if I would be part of the project, so when Priscella Presley asks you to sing with Elvis, you do it.”

Also featured on the CD is LeAnn Rimes, who sings “Here Comes Santa Claus”; Martina McBride, who sings “Blue Christmas”; and Olivia Newton-John, who sings “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”
