Emilia Clarke Has Sleepless Nights Over 'Game of Thrones' - Find Out Why!

Emilia Clarke is fabulous in a Dolce&Gabbana dress on the cover of Elle magazine’s August 2017 issue, on newsstands July 18.

Here’s what the 30-year-old Game of Thrones star had to share with the mag:

On her anxiety over shooting the final season of Game of Thrones: Oh God, I get sleepless nights over it. ‘Oh, you’re gonna mess it up. It’s the last season, and it’s going to go wrong.’ My mates are like, ‘It’s you—you [and Daenerys] are one and the same now. You need to trust your instincts!’ And I’m like, ‘ No, I’ve got to do more research!’ The higher everyone places the mantle, the bigger the fall. That sounds really awful, but it’s true! I don’t want to disappoint anyone.

On shooting her commanding sex scene with Dario (Michiel Huisman) in the fourth season of GOT: It’s brilliant. I actually went up to [GOT cocreators David Benioff and Dan Weiss] and thanked them. I was like, ‘That’s a scene I’ve been waiting for!’ Because I get a lot of crap for having done nudes scenes and sex scenes. That, in itself, is so antifeminist. Women hating on other women is just the problem. That’s upsetting, so it’s kind of wonderful to have a scene where I was like, ‘There you go!’

Game of Thrones' Kit Harington Feels Like He's 'Made Mistakes' with Jon Snow

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke are just two of the Game of Thrones stars highlighted in Time magazine’s profile of the hit HBO show!

Also featured are Sophie Turner, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Here’s what the cast shared…

Kit, on playing his character Jon Snow: “I made mistakes and felt that he wasn’t interesting enough. That sounds weird, but I’ve never been quite content with him. Maybe that’s what makes him him. That angst.”

Emilia, on filming scenes in the buff as her character Daenerys: “I don’t have any qualms saying to anyone it was not the most enjoyable experience. How could it be? I don’t know how many actresses enjoy doing that part of it.”

Sophie, on the rape of her character Sansa Stark: “This was the trending topic on Twitter, and it makes you wonder, when it happens in real life, why isn’t it a trending topic every time. This was a fictional character and I got to walk away from it unscathed … Let’s take that discussion and that dialogue and use it to help people who are going through that in their everyday lives. Stop making it such a taboo, and make it a discussion.”

Emilia Clarke Denies Involvement in 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff

Sorry Game of Thrones fans, Emilia Clarke won’t be participating in any kind of spinoff series.

The 30-year-old actress confirmed the news while talking about the final seasons in her new cover story for Rolling Stone.

“Spoiler alert—I normally don’t spend very much time in Belfast, but this last season I spent a little more time there,” Emilia said. “It’s a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you’re like, ‘Oh, my God. I forgot about that!’ Rumors are going to be confirmed or denied.”

“I mean, I have no doubt there’ll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else. But I am doing one more season,” she said.

Game of Thrones premieres July 16 at 9 p.m. on HBO.

Emilia Clarke on Being a Woman in Hollywood: 'I Do Get Treated Differently'

Emilia Clarke gets her close up on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine’s new issue.

Here’s what the 30-year-old Game of Thrones star had to share with the mag:

On being treated differently than male co-stars: “I feel so naive for saying it, but it’s like dealing with racism. You’re aware of it, and you’re aware of it, but one day, you go, ‘Oh, my God, it’s everywhere!’ Like you suddenly wake up to it and you go, ‘Wait a f*cking second, are you . . . are you treating me different because I’ve got a pair of t*ts? Is that actually happening?’ It took me a really long time to see that I do get treated differently. But I look around, and that’s my daily life.”

On her ultimate goal: “I would love to start a production company that was just full of nice, funny women.”

On her role in the Star Wars Han Solo movie: “All I can say is that she’s awesome. Like, legit, that’s all I can actually get away with saying. There’s a stormtrooper with a gun, and he’s going to come walking in any second.”
