The first trailers for House of the Dragon season 2 has finally debuted online!

The Game of Thrones spinoff series is set to return on Sunday (June 16), and will air on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

HBO actually released two dueling trailers. One “black” side and one “green” side, teasing a big war to come.

Here’s the season 2 synopsis: Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story. For global audiences, “All Must Choose” their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.

House of the Dragon is returning to HBO in June 2024 for the highly anticipated second season and new character posters have been released!

The Game of Thrones prequel series debuted in summer 2022 and fans have been waiting nearly two years for the show to continue.

Eight actors are featured on the six character posters, confirming that they will return for the second season. We already know that several actors will not be back.

Featured on the posters are Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Queen Alicent Hightower, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, Tom Glynn-Carney as King Aegon II Targaryen, and Ewan Mitchell as Prince Aemond Targaryen.

The trailer for season two is expected to debut on Thursday (March 21). Stay tuned!

The first look at Season 2 of MAX’s Game of Thrones spinoff series House of the Dragon has arrived, and it promises a very tense standoff between franchise stars Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke.

The actors play Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, respectively, and the first season of the show charted their relationship from best friends to bitter rivals.

Their relationship took a turn for the worse in the first season’s finale as they battled over who should sit the Iron Throne: Princess Rhaenyra or Alicent’s eldest son Prince Aegon, who is the Princess’ half brother.

A tragic death in the fianle’s final moments seemingly set the two women up for war in the second season.

Milly Alcock had fun at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, and viewers noticed!

The 22-year-old House of the Dragons star displaying some charmingly silly behavior on-stage with co-star Emma D’Arcy and director Miguel Sapochnik on Tuesday night (January 10).

The director was accepting the award for Best TV Series, as Milly noticeably kept giggling and pointing and, at one point, putting her finger to her mouth.

She seemingly confirmed she might have been tipsy on her Instagram Stories later that night, reposting a photo of herself giggling: “Ummmm,” she wrote over the funny photo.

Emma D’Arcy opened up about being nominated at the 2023 Golden Globes.

The 30-year-old actor went into the show with a nomination in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama category for their work on House of the Dragon.

They opened up about the honor of being nominated and referred the timing of the experience as “beautifully ironic.”

House of the Dragon just picked up its’ first ever at the Golden Globe Award!

Series stars Emma D’Arcy and Milly Alcock joined Miguel Sapochnik on stage to accept the Best Drama Show honor on Tuesday night (January1 10) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Emma, who shared the role of Rhaenyra Targaryen with Milly, was also nominated for their own award, but lost out to Zendaya for the Best Drama TV Actress award.

“It’s kind of a surreal thing because when I was starting out, I really felt that I had to pretend, to present as a woman in order to find success in this industry,” Emma shared on the red carpet of their first nomination with E! “Anyway, it wasn’t sustainable, and I stopped pretending, and weirdly, it’s at that point that I got nominated for best actress at the Golden Globes, which is beautifully ironic.”

They added, “I think the most important thing is that it implies that the space for trans people and gender-nonconforming people is getting bigger all the time. So, I feel very privileged.”
