Emma Stone News, Pictures, and Videos
Emma Stone is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend and while she never auditioned to be a regular cast member, she did audition for Nickelodeon’s All That at age 12!
The 28-year-old actress’ audition did not go that well because she didn’t know she had to prepare her own characters to perform during the open call.
Emma ended up making up characters on the spot, she said while appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night (December 1) in New York City.
“I remember that one was a cheerleader that couldn’t spell what she was cheering,” Emma said. “And then there was another one that was actually pretty nuts: A babysitter who is possessed. So as she’s reading books to the kids, she’ll go like, ‘Goldilocks and the [in a deep voice] THREE BEARS.”

The 28-year-old La La Land actress and Jimmy, 42, took turns guessing random song titles and lyrics while wearing noise-cancelling headphones. The game was part of Emma‘s appearance on The Tonight Show on Thursday (December 1) in New York City.
Jimmy definitely seemed to have an easier time at guessing than Emma did, though he definitely has plenty of experience from other times he’s played with other celebs!

The 33-year-old actor, who is getting Oscar buzz for his work in the movie Hacksaw Ridge, was asked by The Hollywood Reporter to name the one actor or actress he’d like to have with him on a desert island.
“Emma Stone. I love Emma,” he replied. “She’s all right. She can come.”
The couple starred together in The Amazing Spider-Man movies and then they dated for three years.

Emma Stone might be wowing audiences with her singing talents in La La Land, but don’t expect her to get up on stage to perform at a karaoke bar!
The 28-year-old actress opened up about avoiding karaoke in an interview with Good Morning America on Monday (November 28) in New York City.
“I weirdly like karaoke so much less now,” Emma joked when asked to reveal her go-to karaoke song. “I don’t think anybody needs to hear me get up and sing in a karaoke room. It’s just that the karaoke experience has lost a little luster after all that.”
FYI: Emma is wearing a Michael Kors Collection dress and a Moncler coat.
Emma Stone appreciates humor for a lot of reasons.
The 28-year-old La La Land actress recently opened up about how it helps her cope with her more sensitive side.
“Humor has always been my great joy because I have this sensitive makeup. I think it helps me to be around people who can make light of situations that I’m taking too seriously,” Emma told Backstage.com. “As I get older, I understand that I’m lucky to be sensitive. For a long time, I think I rejected that part of myself, because it’s painful. But it’s really nice to just admit what you’re going through, because it frees other people up to admit what they’re going through as well.”
Pictured: Emma attends a La La Land luncheon, hosted by Bulleit Bourbon, with the film’s songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, writer/director Damien Chazelle, composer Justin Hurwitz, and editor Tom Cross at Le Coucou on Sunday (November 27) in New York City.
FYI: Emma is wearing a The Row top and skirt with Jimmy Choo shoes.
The BFF duo recently revealed that they were introduced by their mutual co-star Woody Harrelson, who helped them exchange phone numbers, and they proceeded to text each other daily for an entire year!
“I feel like it was our version of The Notebook – 365 texts,” Jennifer joked in an interview with Vanity Fair.
She also opened up about why their friendship works, even in a competitive place like Hollywood.
“I love my job. I don’t know what I would be without acting. So if there is someone who loves the same thing, it should bring us closer. But it depends on how that person is, and Emma is so normal and lovely. If I wasn’t her biggest fan, I would’ve Tonya Harding’d her in the kneecaps,” Jennifer said.
Emma added, “She may not even know this, but there was definitely a time early on when I was like ‘OH HEY MY EGO IS GOING NUTS SHE’S SO GREAT AND VIBRANT AND TALENTED I’M SCREWED I’LL NEVER WORK AGAIN GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD.’ Then I chilled the f**k out and remembered we’re completely different and there is room for everyone, even if it’s an industry that doesn’t really seem to support that idea up front.”
“We both really do love each other and care about each other as people, beyond being actors. I support her completely when it comes to work and I feel the same from her, but I know we’d be friends even if we didn’t do the same job,” Emma continued.
We totally love this friendship!
