Emma Stone & Steve Carell Play Iconic Tennis Stars in 'Battle of the Sexes' Trailer - Watch Now!

The first trailer for Battle of the Sexes has been revealed!

Here’s a synopsis of the movie: The electrifying 1973 tennis match between World number one Billie Jean King (Emma Stone) and ex-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell) was billed as THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES and became one of the most watched televised sports events of all time. The match caught the zeitgeist and sparked a global conversation on gender equality, spurring on the feminist movement. Trapped in the media glare, King and Riggs were on opposite sides of a binary argument, but off-court each was fighting more personal and complex battles. With a supportive husband urging her to fight the Establishment for equal pay, the fiercely private King was also struggling to come to terms with her own sexuality, while Riggs gambled his legacy and reputation in a bid to relive the glories of his past. Together, Billie and Bobby served up a cultural spectacle that resonated far beyond the tennis courts and animated the discussions between men and women in bedrooms and boardrooms around the world.

The movie is set to hit theaters on September 22, 2017.

Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, & Brie Larson Are All in a Group Text Together

Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, and Brie Larson have been part of an epic group text for a while now.

Brie recently made the revelation about the actresses in an interview with Vanity Fair, sharing that Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham have also become a part of the group.

But wait, there’s more: Apparently they have Woody Harrelson to thank for their friendship. Brie said he is like a “dad” to the original trio and has worked with all of them, so he thought they would be good friends.

Brie revealed that, while she was feeling “lonely” while promoting Room, “Emma wrote this beautiful email out of nowhere, and then one day Jen sent me a text message after she saw Room, and we started talking.”

“That (group of friends) saved my life,” Brie added. “I was able to talk with them about everything that was going on in my life, and it was with people who had been through it before and are also hilarious. That support and acceptance was everything. I was home-schooled, so I didn’t have friends that had the same interests as me, and I found it to be absolutely incredible.”

Emma Stone Responds to 'La La Land' Promposal (Video)

Emma Stone has responded to the sweet “promposal” she received from high school junior Jacob Staudenmeier.

In case you missed it, Jacob channeled Ryan Gosling in a La La Land-themed video that went viral. Now he’s talking about it on Good Morning America.

“The initial inspiration was a kid that went to my school about two or three years ago, he actually ‘promposed’ to Miley Cyrus and that just gave me a big inspiration,” Jacob said. “I thought I had to follow it up, and after seeing Emma Stone in La La Land, absolutely killing it in her performance… and especially knowing that she’s from Arizona, I thought it would just be a perfect idea.”

And Emma wrote him a letter in response!

“I have and I have the letter right here,” he said, reading it: “Thanks for making the greatest proposal I’ve ever received. I can’t tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled throughout that beautifully orchestrated video. I’m in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom and I’m grateful you thought of me. Thank you and P.S., I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma.”
