Enrique Iglesias is nursing a sliced hand from his concert on Saturday night (May 31) in Tijuana.

The 40-year-old entertainer was seriously injured when he grabbed a flying drone mid-show, according to TMZ.

Enrique sometimes grabs the drones to show the audience his point of view, but apparently he grabbed the wrong part and sliced his hand open.

Still, he finished the set with a bloody t-shirt wrapped around the wound and was later transported to a hospital in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old singer announced that Silviana Itzel Salinas-Reyna, a 23-year-old tenor saxophone student from Mexico City, was the recipient of his special scholarship, which will grant her $200,000 to further her music education at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

To support new talent is personally rewarding,” Enrique expressed (via BusinessWire). “When you are passionate about music and making it a career, your dream is to learn from one of the best institutions.
