Game of Thrones actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, and Eugene Simon get together in this feature from VMan‘s summer 2012 issue, featuring Andrew Garfield on the cover.
Here’s what the co-stars had to share:
Nikolaj, on relating to his character Jaime Lanniste: “I am very different from Jaime, but I do understand him and why he acts the way he does. You cannot excuse pushing a kid out a window, and I don’t think Jaime would, but he believed that he was left with no option. I relate to being ready to go to extremes to protect my children. And I think Jaime for all his arrogance and sarcasm — is a man of strong morals. You just have to do a bit of digging to find them.”
Alfie, on his ideal role: “I’d like to play Paul Gascoigne or Mick Jagger.”
Eugene, on how he expresses himself: “I often find that music helps me to express certain emotions or thoughts. And not writing it, or singing or playing it, but just listening to it is enough to make me feel at ease and content. And before you ask, no, I do not have a favorite genre. Anything from Beethoven to Guns N’ Roses.”
