Andrew Garfield and Marlee Matlin are hamming it up on the red carpet!

The 38-year-old Spider-Man actor and the 56-year-old CODA actress posed together on the carpet at the 2022 AFI Awards luncheon on Friday (March 11) at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Andrew‘s new movie Tick, Tick… Boom! and Marlee‘s film CODA are both being honored on the list of AFI’s top 10 films of the year.

Marlee was joined on the carpet by co-stars Troy Kotsur, Daniel Durant, and Eugenio Derbez, as well as writer and director Sian Heder, and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Andrew and Troy both have individual Oscar nominations for their performances!

The cast of CODA was represented at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards on Monday (February 28) at Avalon in Hollywood.

Emilia Jones, Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur, Daniel Durant, and Eugenio Derbez all attended the event as nominees. The cast was nominated for Best Cast Ensemble and there were also some individual acting noms.

Emilia was up for Best Actress, Marlee was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and Troy won the award for Best Supporting Actor. The movie had nine total nominations, including nods for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay for Sian Heder, Best Indie Film, and Best Original Song.

The cast made history at the SAG Awards the night before.

The cast of CODA hug it out on stage after picking up the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night (February 27).

Marlee Matlin, Daniel Durant, Troy Kotsur, Emilia Jones, and Eugenio Derbez were quite surprised to be announced as the winners of the prize.

The win makes more history at the show, as CODA features a predominantly deaf cast – and they are the first to win it.

Earlier in the night, Troy also made history, picking up the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

If you haven’t seen it, CODA centers on Ruby (Jones), the only hearing member of her family, who serves as an interpreter for the members of her family. After joining her high school’s choir club, Ruby finds herself drawn to both her duet partner and her latent passion for singing.

Also in attendance were Emilia‘s CODA co-stars Daniel Durant and Eugenio Derbez, along with his wife Alessandra Rosaldo.

CODA is nominated tonight for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

The new movie CODA has set a new Sundance Film Festival record for the biggest sale of all time!

The coming-of-age drama, starring rising actress Emilia Jones, has sold to Apple for $25 million, according to Deadline.

The previous biggest sale out of Sundance happened last year when the movie Palm Springs sold to Hulu and Neon for $22.5 million. That film is expected to get some awards attention at the Golden Globes next week.

CODA premiered on the opening night of Sundance and it received universal acclaim from both critics and audiences. The title’s acronym stands for Child of Deaf Adults and the film “centers on Ruby (Jones), the only hearing person in her deaf family. When the family’s fishing business is threatened, she finds herself torn between pursuing her love of music and her fear of abandoning her parents.”

The movie was written and directed by Siân Heder, who previously worked on TV shows like Orange is the New Black and GLOW. She also wrote directed the Netflix film Tallulah.

Emilia is best known for her work in the Netflix series Locke & Key. She stars alongside Eugenio Derbez and Marlee Matlin in Coda.

Isabela Merced walks the red carpet while attending the 2019 Latin American Music Awards on Thursday (October 17) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 18-year-old actress stepped out for the first time after changing her name from Isabela Moner.

Isabela changed her name to honor her late grandmother and she’ll also be launching new music with the new name.

Also in attendance at the awards show were Becky G, Jason Derulo, actor Eugenio Derbez, Ne-Yo, and Mario Lopez.

Sterling K. Brown, Josh Gad and Rachel Bloom teamed up for the premiere of their upcoming film The Angry Birds Movie 2!

The co-stars stepped out at the event on Saturday afternoon (August 10) in Los Angeles.

Josh was also joined by his daughters, eight-year-old Ava and five-year-old Isabella, while Sterling was accompanied by his wife Ryan Michelle Bathe and their son Andrew.

Other attendees included their co-stars Dove Cameron, Leslie Jones, Beck Bennett and Eugenio Derbez as well as supporters Viola Davis, Marla Sokoloff and Rebekka Johnson.

Angry Birds 2 hits theaters on August 16, the 10th anniversary of the hit video game.
