Harvey Weinstein Threatened to Destroy Eva Green's Career After Denying His Advances

Eva Green is the latest actress to reveal she was sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein.

The 37-year-old James Bond actress was allegedly harassed by Harvey for two years after he threatened to destroy her career if she refused his advances.

“My daughter Eva was the victim of this horrible man. At the time, I was truly horrified, so scandalized that I wanted to do something but my daughter said ‘Absolutely Not! You do not know the evil he is capable of,’” her mother, French actress Marlene Jobert, told Europe 1 radio.

Marlene added that it took time for Eva to recover and she prefers not to speak about it.

“Under the pretext of a professional appointment, he’d given her a script with a beautiful key role it. And as his office was also in his hotel suite, they’d go up and then…He promised her, like the others that he’d favorize their careers in exchange for sexual favors,” she continued.

Marlene added, “Eva managed to escape him but he threatened to destroy her professionally. Because if the ‘big pig’ had been outed by a victim, for revenge he would forbid [directors] to select them. That’s a brutal reaction to take on a young actress because it was putting themselves in danger of being scratched off casting lists.”

Tim Burton Begins Production on 'Dumbo,' Debuts Set Photo

Production has begun on Tim Burton‘s upcoming live-action reimagining of the Disney classic Dumbo and the studio just shared a photo of the director on set!

Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, and Eva Green have been confirmed to star in the film alongside newcomers Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins in their first film roles.

Disney’s new live-action feature film Dumbo introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children (Parker and Hobbins) discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.

Dumbo has a release date set for March 29, 2019.

Eva Green Admits to Drunk Texting Every Now & Then

Eva Green‘s eyes are mesmerizing on the new cover of Net-A-Porter‘s The Edit magazine.

Here’s what the 36-year-old Penny Dreadful star had to share with the mag:

On being shy: “I’m not the most eloquent person. I’m not great at talking about myself. People are surprised when they see I’m shy.”

On why she’s not on social media: “Because I don’t want to get drunk and go ‘blahblahblah’. Sometimes I do drunk texting. So if I went on Twitter… There’s something quite desperate about it. ‘Look what I’ve done!’ No.”

On selfies: “I hate selfies. Lots of people ask for a selfie now; it’s sad. They want a picture, but it’s about them, rather than sharing a moment. It feels like they steal something, rather than looking at you and going, ‘I like your work’.”

Eva Green Doesn't Understand Why She's Always Stripping Down on Film

Eva Green looks stunning on the cover of W Magazine‘s August 2016 issue.

Here is what the 35-year-old Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children actress had to share with the mag:

On wearing no clothes so often in films: “It is very paradoxical. I am so shy, and, at the same time, I kind of expose myself literally to thousands of people. I don’t really understand why I do that. I need to go through therapy!”

On her new movie: “Miss Peregrine is like a dark Mary Poppins. She has the ability to manipulate time and uses her powers to protect the children. Miss Peregrine will kill for them. And she does! Which was fun.”

On being introverted as a child: “I was not popular in school. I was a real geek, hugging the walls. I blushed whenever the teacher would ask me a question. I was paralyzed.”

Tim Burton on first meeting the actress: “Eva was not instantly knowable. There was something private and mysterious about her, and that’s not common in this day and age. People think she’s ‘dark,’ but she’s more interesting than that. People assume I’m dark too, but I’m really not. Is it just because I wear dark clothing? Do people want me to be in a white suit, like Mr. Roarke from Fantasy Island?! Eva faces the same dilemma. We share a complicated way of looking at things. We both have an interest in the unusual.”
