Eva recently shared this photo of herself with Carlos, who was diagnosed with throat cancer nearly two years ago. Her younger brother Carlo shared a touching tribute to their brother on Instagram.
“I still can’t believe this has happened. I’m crying as I write this and I have no idea how to cope with him being gone but I want to thank you all who have reached out to me and believe me when I say your messages make me feel a little bit better. My life will never be the same without him. Thank you all,” Carlo wrote.
We send our thoughts and condolences to Eva‘s family during this difficult time.
The 35-year-old actor said that being a father is “not rocket science” and he’s looking forward to spending the holiday season with his family.
“This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in, so that’s exciting,” Ryan told Hello Magazine.
When asked about Eva, he said that “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with.” He was also asked about the qualities he looks for in a woman, to which he said, “that she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
Eva Mendes looks super stylish while launching her Fall 2015 New York & Company collection at The Clocktower on Wednesday (September 16) in New York City.
That same day, the 41-year-old actress’ appearance on The Wendy Williams Show aired in which she opened up about her and Ryan Gosling‘s daughter Esmeralda, 1.
“We love Hunchback of Notre Dame, we loved the name, the cartoon and the novel, you know it just kind of kept coming back to us,” Eva said of her name. “It’s actually a very popular Latin name so it’s easy for my father and certain family members that still don’t speak English to pronounce. That was a good selling point.”
When asked about pressure to lose baby weight, Eva said, “No, I feel like we can be really hard on each other. That whole term, ‘bounce back’ after pregnancy. I don’t know, I don’t like that terminology. Look, if you go into the bikini two weeks after, good for you, but that wasn’t me.I just feel like we as women need to support each other more.”
Eva also revealed that she and Ryan don’t have a nanny.
“I’ve never appreciated my family so much, they’ve been amazing. I don’t technically have a nanny, but I do have help,” Eva said. “I like to clarify. I’m certainly not anti-nanny, you do what you need to do as a parent, but I’m so grateful that I have help with my family and his family.”
