Eva Mendes has two little makeup artists on her hands!

The 47-year-old actress and fashion designer took to her Instagram on on Tuesday (March 30) to show off the results of the hilarious and very colorful makeover she got from daughters Esmeralda, 6, and Amada, 4, whom she shares with longtime love Ryan Gosling.

“My kids did this to me. Again. From head to toe. I guess, when in doubt, be their canvas,” Eva wrote while showing off all the different colors of makeup her daughters put all over her face.

This isn’t the first time Eva has shown off the results of a makeover from her kids. Back in May, Eva shared a selfie of her makeup, which included bright blue eyeshadow, purple lipstick, and black eyeliner drawn all over her face.

Eva Mendes is speaking out after headlines misconstrued the intent of what she said in response to a fan on Instagram this weekend.

The 46-year-old actress put up a birthday post for a friend this weekend and she responded to many comments from fans on the post.

One fan asked why she has been posting less lately and another fan wrote in that thread, “she’s had work done and I don’t think she’s happy with it..🤷‍♀️ she was beautiful without.”

Eva responded by saying, “I’m posting less because I really want to be present for my family. My little ones need me and posting takes up too much time. As far as getting work done, I’ll do that whenever I please. But no, that’s not the reason. The reason is I personally cannot juggle family and social media.”

Eva Mendes is continuing to explain why she is not posting much on social media anymore.

The 46-year-old actress said in a post last weekend that she took a step back from Instagram after her daughter told her she was “on the phone too much.”

Eva returned to Instagram on Saturday (January 30) to wish a friend a happy birthday and she took to the comments section to give her reply to some fans.

“hi. I’m actually taking time to really be present with my family so posting is not really a priority right now. Hoping you and yours are well,” Eva replied to someone who asked why she’s posting less.

Another person said, “she’s had work done and I don’t think she’s happy with it..🤷‍♀️ she was beautiful without.”

Eva responded to that person and said, “mmmm. I’m not sure why I’m answering you but here I go. I’m posting less because I really want to be present for my family. My little ones need me and posting takes up too much time. As far as getting work done, I’ll do that whenever I please. But no, that’s not the reason. The reason is I personally cannot juggle family and social media. So -big shocker -I choose family. Lotsa love to you out there.”

The 46-year-old actress and fashion designer took to her Instagram on Saturday (January 23) to share some parenting advice, while also sharing a recent interaction with one of her daughters.

“Let your kids call you out. It’s not disrespect. It’s healthy,” read the post, originally from Latinx Parenting’s Twitter. “Kids can be so fiercely aligned with their value that they will take nothing less than the respect they deserve. They will take no BS. Not even from you. Congratulations, you are raising an empowered child.”

Eva then took to the caption to explain why she decided to take a step back from social media.

“Thank you to @latinxparenting for this important reminder. I haven’t posted lately because my little one told me I was on the phone too much,” Eva wrote. “I could tell she was taking it personally. And she’s a kid, of course she’d take it personally. They take things personally unless we go out of our way to make it clear to them it’s not personal.”

“So we had good talk, I apologized and I promised her I’d be mindful,” she continued. “I realized that just because I’m always home with them doesn’t mean I’m always present. ❤️”

In the photo, the 46-year-old actress has seven needles sticking out of her skin around her jawline. While it looks like it’s extremely painful, she’s assured fans it wasn’t.

Someone asked, “Does it hurt?” She responded, “Not really – surprisingly enough! And my threshold for pain is low! It looks more invasive than it is.”

Eva says she “honestly had no idea I had that many in. Then when she told me how many I didn’t believe her so I asked her to take a pic. This pic was not planned. I do not like physical pain! I do not like needles! This was a big one for me!”

In a recent interview, Eva opened up about the moment she realized she wanted to have kids.

Eva Mendes is opening up about her life out of the spotlight and how she is ready to finally return to the acting world now that her kids are growing up.

The 46-year-old actress said in an interview with Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa that she didn’t want to have kids until she fell in love with her partner Ryan Gosling.

“I am [ready to go back to work], now that they getting a bit older but I really feel like, I never want to send the wrong message to young women out there, it’s not an either/or situation,” Eva said.

She added, “I was lucky enough to work my bum off for 20 years and then, I never wanted babies before until I fell in love with Ryan, and it kind of worked out to where I was 40 and having my first baby, I think I was 42 for the second one so it worked out in that way that I had a career and that then I change my focus to my family. So now I’m thinking of definitely going back, I feel like it’s time. I’m telling you guys, the list is getting shorter and shorter of stuff that I do, I don’t want to do anything violent, nothing risque. I think the only thing that’s left is Disney!”

Eva also talked about Ryan‘s 40th birthday being less than a month away.

“You know I haven’t really given it to much thought,” she said about present ideas. “It’s been such a year that you know I think it was just like you know, we’re not going to have a party. It’s not the time for it. Honestly it’s just going to be us.”

Eva recently revealed what she’s been up to at home during the pandemic.
