Dwayne Johnson Does Not Regret Instagram Post on 'Fast 8' Set Drama

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spoke out on Instagram back in August about drama on the set of Fast 8 and months later, it does not seem like he regrets his words.

The 44-year-old actor called out his male co-stars and said that some of them are “stand up men and true professionals” while others are “candy asses.” It was later revealed that there was a feud brewing between Dwayne and Vin Diesel.

Now, Dwayne is opening up about the viral post in an interview with Los Angeles Times.

“I was very clear with what I said. I’ve been in the game a long time,” Dwayne said, with a smile. “Would Universal [Pictures] have preferred that didn’t happen? Sure, we talked about it. The irony is after that and as they do their tracking and all their analysis, the interest shot through the roof to a whole other level.”

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's Co-Stars Don't Know Who He Was Calling Out in Explosive Instagram Post (Report)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s Instagram post calling his male Fast 8 co-stars “candy asses” has caused a frenzy on the set of the film, sources tell TMZ.

Many of the males – Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Tyrese, Ludacris, Scott Eastwood, and more – are shooting today. They’re apparently being hounded about who has beef with The Rock.

Sources say the actors are all upset because production is wrapping next week – “This is a hell of a way to end it,” one source said. There have apparently been some issues on set due to “extreme egos.”

The actors don’t know who Dwayne was talking about – but sources tell TMZ it is not Ludacris or Tyrese.

Scott Eastwood Joins 'Fast 8' Cast as New Character!

Scott Eastwood will be playing a new character in the upcoming movie Fast 8!

The 30-year-old actor confirmed the news in a lengthy post on his Instagram account.

“It’s hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious. To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It’s a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can’t wait to join it,” Scott said.

“Now I can’t say too much, but I get to play a new character who operates under Kurt Russell in the movie, which is incredible, because Kurt was a total childhood hero of mine growing up. Very much looking forward to learning a thing or two from such an original and cool guy,” he continued.

Paul [Walker] was a close friend of mine. We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me. For me to be able to add to the F&F story, Paul’s story, and the FAST family is like a dream come true,” he continued. “Gary Gray and Neal Moritz – I can’t wait to get started and dive in. Vin – thank you for the support and the insight. Paul – I am going to make you proud.”
