Before he landed the role of Sawyer in Fifty Shades Freed, actor Brant Daugherty actually auditioned to play the role of Christian Grey!

The 32-year-old actor opened up to his fans during a Facebook Live chat on Saturday morning (March 10) and answered a question about his audition.

The fan asked if Brant auditioned to play Christian and he said, “Yes, I did. I auditioned for it when they were originally casting it. I was a little young, I think I was 26 at the time. They ended up hiring Charlie Hunnam and then he dropped out. And they brought me in to audition again and then they hired Jamie [Dornan]. And Jamie is perfect for the role and I ended up getting Sawyer, so it’s hard to be upset about something like that.”

There was some big Fifty Shades news over the weekend – the film just surpassed the $1.25 million mark at the global box office – so we felt the need to celebrate!

The Fifty Shades movie franchise continues to perform to incredible numbers at the box office and the franchise just crossed the $1.25 billion mark globally!

Fifty Shades Freed, the third and final film in Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan‘s hit series, is in theaters now and has so far earned $306.7 million worldwide.

The films have a combined production cost of only $150 million, according to Deadline. That means Universal Pictures is making a huge profit with thee films!

It’s expected that Freed will top out at about $340 million at the worldwide box office.

Jennifer Lawrence does not consider herself to be a cinefile (aka a movie buff) and if you ask her what films she enjoys, you’re not going to get award-winning movies as an answer.

The 27-year-old actress was asked by The Wing if she’s a cinefile and she didn’t even know what that meant at first.

“I didn’t even know the word, so obviously… no, I’m constantly humiliated by not knowing classics,” Jennifer said in the interview. “I didn’t really grow up a movie fan,” she added, crediting Uncle Buck as a film she loved.

“I like watched The Waterboy every day for a year,” she continued. “I know actors who are educated and obviously that’s a good thing to do, educate yourself on good films. I find really amazing, great, acclaimed films super boring so I usually lean towards latest releases, Pixar, Fifty Shades… I like what I like!”

You may be wondering all about the hot actor playing the role of Sawyer in Fifty Shades Freed, opening this weekend.

That hottie is Brant Daugherty, who does a great job playing Anastasia Steele’s sexy security guard.
