'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting Roundup & Poll (VOTE!)

It has been the topic on everyone’s mind for the past week and now we are wrapping up a week of Fifty Shades of Grey casting rumors with a reminder of who is up for the role of Christian Grey!

We have narrowed it down to eight guys who seem to be seriously in consideration for the role: Jamie Dornan, Luke Bracey, Scott Eastwood, Francois Arnaud, Billy Magnussen, Christian Cooke, Theo James, and Alexander Skarsgard.

As we exclusively reported a few days ago, only Scott and four of the other guys are still in talks. The frontrunner seems to be Jamie after he had a “really good read,” according to E! News. We can’t wait to find out who really gets the role. Vote below to tell us who you want the role to go to!

Francois Arnaud Approached for 'Fifty Shades of Grey' (Exclusive)

Francois Arnaud is the latest actor being thrown into the mix to potentially play Christian Grey in the highly anticipated film Fifty Shades of Grey!

Sources close to the situation confirm exclusively to JustJared.com that the 28-year-old French Canadian actor has been approached for the role, which was originally supposed to be played by Charlie Hunnam. No offers have been made yet and several other actors are being considered as well.

Francois is best known for his role as Cesare Borgia on the hit Showtime series The Borgias, which just finished its third and final season over the summer. He will next be steaming up the screen alongside Camilla Belle in the new film Amapola.

In an interview with New York Magazine back in 2011, Francois admitted that he has a “natural darkness,” which we think is perfect for the role. “I think everyone has that, actually. I think you just have to be honest about it and be willing to explore that,” he said at the time.

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Francois Arnaud playing Christian Grey?

Francois Arnaud Poses for 'Interview' Magazine Feature!

Francois Arnaud is leather jacket cool in this new feature from Interview magazine’s latest issue.

Here’s what the 27-year-old The Borgias actor had to share with the mag:

On The Borgias being cancelled: “After every season you think about whether or not it might be over and whether you should say goodbye to people when you leave Hungary. [laughs] It’s a bit strange, because the ratings were”not incredible”but steady.”

On what he’d like to pursue next: “I’d love to do something contemporary and gritty and realistic”to take part in something almost improvised. The Borgias is very literary and it’s great to do that but I’d love to do something here and now and maybe. I just did another movie in Argentina”I just came back from Argentina”and it takes place in 1966 just before the coup.”

On if he feels pressure to write or direct instead of act: “No, I don’t feel the pressure. I’d love to at some point. I’m not sure I’ll find acting satisfying creatively forever. If you get the good roles, it’s great”if you have the freedom to choose your projects and not just do anything and everything. But I’d love to artistically commit to a project from beginning to end, which I think you can only do as a writer or director. There are so many things you can’t control, especially as a film or TV actor. You’re not entirely responsible for your performance.”
