Linda Hamilton Tells Kimmel She Wasn't In A Rush To Call Ex James Cameron Back About 'Terminator: Dark Fate'

Linda Hamilton paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (October 29) and revealed that she was in no rush to get back to her ex-husband James Cameron about doing Terminator: Dark Fate.

The 63-year-old actress told Kimmel that James Cameron, who serves as executive producer and also directed the Terminator series, called her multiple times before she decided to call him back.

“Jim Cameron called and then he called the second time and then the third time and told it’s about work and that’s when I decided to call him back,” Linda said. “When he said it was about work I called him back.”

Linda revealed that she usually does not take calls or reply to texts and likes to be in her zone which she refers to as the “Hamil-time”.

Linda also talked about working with Arnold Schwarzenegger for first time on film. “The first time was 35 years ago and I was worried about the film because he was in it.,” she said. “People were excited but I was a snorty New York actress and I was like I don’t know, but then I went to meet him on set when he was working and I was like alright.”

That same evening, Linda Hamilton joined her co-star Mackenzie Davis at an axe throwing event prior to the Terminator: Dark Fate screening at the ArcLight Hollywood, while there other co-star Gabriel Luna hosted a screening at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Slaughter Lane in Austin, Texas.

'Terminator: Dark Fate' Premiere Cancelled Amid California Wildfires

Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Terminator: Dark Fate premiere has been cancelled due to the ongoing Getty Fires, which broke out hours ago in the area connecting West Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley. 10,000 homes have been evacuated in the Brentwood and Westwood areas.

Arnold had to evacuate his home, explaining, “We evacuated safely at 3:30 this morning. If you are in an evacuation zone, don’t screw around. Get out. Right now I am grateful for the best firefighters in the world, the true action heroes who charge into the danger to protect their fellow Californians. #GettyFire.”

Paramount Pictures was intending to hold the premiere and after party on Monday (October 28) in Hollywood, but instead will be donating all the food intended to be served to the American Red Cross, Deadline reports.

The new Terminator film is set to his theaters this Friday. Here’s a synopsis of the film: More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator – a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) – travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani’s survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super-soldier from the future, and a battle-hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah’s past that may be their last best hope.

Marvel's 'Ghost Rider' Starring Gabriel Luna Not Moving Forward at Hulu

Marvel’s Ghost Rider, which was set to star Gabriel Luna, is not moving forward at Hulu.

Sources tell Variety that the reason that the show will not move forward is due to “creative impasse.”

Gabriel previously played Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and was set to reprise the role in this series. The character has been described as “consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. He lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields.”

Marvel fans do have a few things to look forward to, however!

Arnold Schwarzenegger Says Donald Trump Is 'In Love' With Him: 'He Wants to Be Me'

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gabriel Luna are on the cover of Men’s Health‘s October 2019 issue, out now.

Here’s what the 72-year-old former Governor of California had to say…

On Donald Trump’s public ridicule of his low-rated stint as the replacement host of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice: “He’s in love with me. That’s the reality of it. With Trump, he wants to be me…I don’t think he fears me. But I remember that in the old days, when we went to the wrestling matches, the way he admired people with bodies, and the way they would jump around in the ring, and to perform physical stunts and stuff like that – he had great admiration for that. He asked me, How do you do that, with the movies? I mean, it’s so believable. He drilled down to specific questions that fascinated him. It was about How do you sell something? Like, a scene. How do you go and act out a scene so that I get affected emotionally? He was fascinated by that. How do you do this when you do interviews – that you penetrate through it and you then are totally believable?”

On what governorship taught him about himself: “I always complain about Trump not being able to shift from Trump to president. Well, the reason why I say this is because I saw that with myself, that I was not able to shift from Arnold to governor. I was still stuck as Arnold. Arnold always gets things done. I forced my way in there, then I do it and do it and do it and do it, until it gets done. And I felt the same thing I can do with politics. But I learned quickly that that’s really not the way it works. You got to be able to bring people together. It takes much more time, much more effort, but that’s just the way it is. If you don’t like that, don’t get into politics.”

On how the Terminator won people over: “People really admired the character, because he was able to do things they all wanted to do. Everyone wants to wipe out the police station – because it was not a human being doing it, it was the machine doing it.”
