Gabriella Rodriguez, Yalitza Aparicio, Marina de Tavira, and Nancy Garcia walk the red carpet at a special screening of their Netflix movie Roma on Tuesday (November 27) in New York City.
The film was directed by Alfonso Cuaron and it’s getting a ton of awards buzz. While it won’t be released on Netflix until December 14, the film was released in limited theaters this past weekend.
The movie played in only three theaters in New York and Los Angeles and while Netflix isn’t reporting grosses for the screenings, sources tell THR that nearly all showings were sold out. The film grossed around $90,000 to $120,000 over opening weekend.
