Creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss recently opened up about what to expect.

“I just think it’s better,” David told Variety about this season. “I think it’s the best one yet. I hate saying it because you sound like a salesman, but I honestly believe that. I honestly believe I’m very, very excited for people to watch the next ten hours. I think the actors have never been better. I think the photography has never been better. It’s just solid, man. I think it’s f—cking solid.”

And as for the theme of the season?

“A lot of homecoming. Coming home,” D.B. teased.

Sophie Turner Says Kit Harington Takes Hour to Do His Hair

Sophie Turner gives us major hair envy in this new feature for the latest issue of GQ magazine.

Here’s what the 20-year-old Game of Thrones star had to share with the mag:

On Kit Harington‘s amazing hair: “He’ll kill me for saying this, but if we’re on the red carpet, I promise he’ll stand in front of the mirror for hours. I’ve seen him do it. Even though he wakes up perfect, it’s never good enough for him. He’s gonna absolutely kill me. ”

On what they do when a castmember is killed off: “There’s always a lot of drinks at the bar. But by now we’re so used to it. We used to have big things when other people died. But there’s so many people who die now, we’re like, ‘Can’t really afford it, man. We’ve been out every night.’”

On filming gruesome scenes as Sansa: “I leave that at work. If I didn’t, it would really affect me. But I don’t let it linger with me. I brush her off. She’s not me.”

'Game of Thrones' Might Get Shorter Seasons for Final Episodes

Game of Thrones might be getting fewer episodes in the upcoming final seasons.

The current sixth season will begin airing on April 24 and there might only be two more seasons after that.

“I think we’re down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We’re heading into the final lap,” showrunner David Benioff told Variety. “That’s the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that’s what we’re looking at.”

Sources told the trade that the 13 number is premature, but that there is a good possibility of there being less than 10 episodes in future seasons.

HBO’s programming president Michael Lombardo confirmed the news that the series might end in a few years.

“That’s my understanding from them right now, those have been the conversations we’ve had,” he said. “Because where these narratives go, it feels like another two years to them. As a television executive, as a fan, do I wish they said another six years? I do.”
