Juliette Lewis makes her arrival to the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 28) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 42-year-old actress took to Twitter earlier in the night to respond to her father, Geoffrey Lewis, being snubbed during the In Memoriam tribute. Geoffrey passed away back in April of 2015.

“I know @TheAcademy didn’t mean to overlook my dad #GeoffreyLewis in the memorium. who was beloved by so many,” Juliette wrote on Twitter. “My dad #GeoffreyLewis was beloved and contributed over 220 roles in film and tv. @TheAcademy maybe you can remember to include him nxt yr”

Juliette Lewis has broken her silence following the death of her father Geoffrey Lewis on Tuesday (April 7).

“My dad. My dad my dad my dad my dad. My love my dad. My dad. My hero. My dad. My dad my love my loving father,” the 41-year-old actress captioned along with a touching picture on her Instagram. My strength my might. My friend. My hugs. My laughter. My love. My dad. Oh my heart. My heart. He loved us so. He loved us so. So so much. I am forever my father’s daughter and he will never been gone.”

Juliette also took to her Twitter to thank everyone for their loving support.

“I cant say the words. No amount of tears will wash it away,” Juliette expressed. “Thank u for your out pouring support. Life is love and love never dies.”

Geoffrey Lewis, an actor who has appeared in many films and was also the father of Juliette Lewis, has died at 79.

The actor passed away on Tuesday (April 7) in Woodland Hills, Calif. from natural causes, according to Variety.

Geoffrey made his mark with appearances in several of Clint Eastwood‘s westerns, including High Plains Drifter, Any Which Way You Can, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and Every Which Way But Loose. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his work on the series Flo and he appeared on dozens of other programs.

Geoffrey is survived by his wife Paula Hochhalter and his ten children. We send out our thoughts and condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
