Seth Rogen can’t stop thinking about his chance encounter with George Lucas in 2011, so much so, that it’s even in his new book.
In a recent GQ profile, the 39-year-old actor opened up about meeting George by chance during a business meeting with his producing partner Evan Goldberg and Steven Spielberg.

George Lucas has officially met Baby Yoda!
Jon Favreau, the creator of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian, has shared an adorable photo of the Star Wars creator cuddling with Baby Yoda, who is really referred to as “The Child” on the show.
Favreau took to his social media channels to share the photo and didn’t include a caption… and he doesn’t really need one!
Baby Yoda has become one of the most beloved characters in pop culture over the last couple months and he’s totally the breakout star of The Mandalorian, which is currently in production for season two.

The gang is back together again!
George Lucas was joined by Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Billy Dee Williams for the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Pre-Opening Ceremony on Wednesday (May 29) at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
The guys were given a preview tour of the new theme park by Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger before they helped cut the ribbon the 14-acre fantasy world and lit up the sky with firework for the first crowd of guests.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge features two new rides and also will be opening in two phases, the first will take guests to the land of Batuu and feature the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride.
Phase two, will open later this year and will feature Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the most ambitious, immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined, which will place guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance and will blur the lines between fantasy and reality.
The new themed land will officially open at Disneyland Resort in California on May 31 and at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Florida on August 29.
The Star Wars Celebration took place this weekend and a panel was held to celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of The Phantom Menace.
While the film is one of the most controversial in the the Star Wars saga, director George Lucas taped a video message saying how it’s one of his favorite ones. He also revealed that his favorite character from the franchise came from that film!
“Thank you for coming to the Celebration,” Lucas said in a pre-taped video (via IndieWire). “[The Phantom Menace] is one of my favorite movies and of course Jar Jar is my favorite character. Ahmed [Best], you did a fantastic job. It was very, very hard.”
“Also for John Knoll and all the guys at ILM, I made it impossible for them. We broke a lot of ground,” he added. “We were using test equipment but it was the beginning of digital, even though we didn’t get to shoot the whole thing digitally, we got to shoot part of it so it was really one of the first digital features and I’m very proud of that. The fans are always such a big part of these films and obviously those of you who are here are the fans of Episode 1 and I love each and every one of you.”
Guillermo del Toro hits the black carpet alongside screenwriter Kim Morgan at the 2018 LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci on Saturday night (November 3) at LACMA in Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old The Shape of Water director is being honored at the event tonight alongside photographer Catherine Opie.
Fellow directors stepping out for the event included Damien Chazelle and wife Olivia Hamilton, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and wife Maria, George Lucas and wife Mellody Hobson, and Alfonso Cuaron.

The co-stars looked handsome in bright colored suits as they hit the red carpet for the premiere of their new movie on Thursday night (May 1) at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.

Joining Alden and Donald at the premiere were their co-stars Paul Bettany, Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo (who plays Chewbacca!), and Jon Favreau.
Also hitting the red carpet was the movie’s director Ron Howard and Star Wars creator George Lucas.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.

The 66-year-old actor, most famous for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, was joined by many members of his movie family.
George Lucas, Harrison Ford, Billie Lourd, and Kelly Marie Tran all stepped out to support Mark at the event.
