George Strait's Stadium Concert Forced to End Early Due to Storms

George Strait was forced to wrap up his show earlier than intended over the weekend.

The 71-year-old country music legend was performing at Nissan Stadium with Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town on Saturday night (July 29) on Nashville, Tenn., when a second shelter-in-place order at the stadium due to bad weather caused the headlining performance to end early.

About an hour before the concert, Nissan Stadium issued a shelter-in-place warning for those already inside the stadium. The delay lasted nearly an hour but was called off shortly before 5:45 p.m., via WKRN.

Artists with the Most Billboard 200 Top 10 Albums of All Time, Ranked Lowest to Highest

Over the years, a handful of artists have proven themselves to be chart gold.

In the past few decades, several acts have notched Top 10-charting albums on the Billboard 200, which tracks the top albums in the country. There are some artists who have dozens of albums that went Top 10 already, and one act that boasts a whopping 37 records that have landed in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.

Billboard recently rounded up the acts with at least 20 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 from March 24, 1956, when the list began publishing on a regular weekly basis, through the latest chart as of November 2022. Are some of your favorite artists on the list?

The Top 30 Highest-Grossing Concert Tours of 2022 Revealed, With Some Surprising Artists in the Top 10!

The list of the Top 30 highest-grossing concert tours of the year has been released!

Pollstar has dropped the touring data for the year and all of the concerts this year grossed $6.28 billion collectively, which is a new record.

One of the drivers in increasing tour revenue was the move from arena tours to stadium tours in 2022, with artists from all genres playing the biggest venues in the country.

Shockingly and sadly, only two women are in the Top 30 and you’re probably going to be surprised by some of the names on this list.

The data is just for North American shows instead of worldwide shows. We have some interesting info, including the average gross per show for each tour and the amount of tickets each artist sold.

Blake Shelton, George Strait, Little Big Town & More Perform at iHeartCountry Festival 2021!

Blake Shelton is up in lights on stage while performing during the 2021 iHeartCountry Festival held at The Frank Erwin Center on Saturday (October 30) in Austin, Texas.

The 45-year-old The Voice judge was just one of the many performers at the annual event, and was joined by country legends Toby Keith on stage, as well as George Strait, who surprised concert goers.

He performed his brand new song, “The Weight Of The Badge,” which is a tribute to first responders.

Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Walker Hayes, Maddie & Tae, Chase Rice and Lee Brice also performed for the festival.

Others spotted at the event included Carly Pearce, Asher Angel, Parker McCollum, Bobby Bones, Cassie DiLaura, and Emily Curl.

ACM Awards 2019 Announces First Round of Performers!

The 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards is happening in less than a month and the first round of performers was just announced!

The event is taking place live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 7 and the show will air on CBS.

Reba McEntire will be hosting the event and she will also perform. She will be joined by fellow performers Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Thomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton, and George Strait.

ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade Award winner Jason Aldean will also perform on the telecast.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the awards show, several artists were honored with Milestone Awards at the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards held at AT&T Stadium on Sunday (April 19) in Arlington, Tex.

Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, and Brooks & Dunn were all recognized for their career achievements and presented with trophies designed by David Yurman.

“The history of the ACM Awards and country music would not be the same without the incredible achievements by these seven superstars,” said Bob Romeo, CEO for the Academy of Country Music. “We are so thankful to David Yurman for partnering with us and creating such a perfectly crafted trophy that memorializes these amazing milestones.”
